Anyone know how well it works as far as netplay is concerned? Laggy? Match quality?
Would love to use something to play SNES games. I’d use snes9k since I know it’s patched with Kaillera, but I’m on Linux.

I’ve used ZSNES 1.42n(enhanced netplay) for a good amount of matches over the last 8 or 9 months for TMNT:TF and it felt a million times better than MVC3 and better than SF4. Was mostly playing SoCal to Pittsburgh.
The biggest problem with ZBattle is that people all have different versions of ZSNES they prefer, and while I’ve had the best success with 1.42n personally, other people prefer raw 1.42, 1.53, or other random versions so you’ll have to keep multiple versions around.
ZSNES 1.42 is gdlk on zbattle netplay when both players have portforwarding enabled on their routers
simply flawless
I played Killer Instinct and Secret of Mana mainly back when I was playing
but yea like the poster above said, the only annoying thing is people not knowing about the ZSnes version they use , but I personally had both 1.42 and 1.36 just in case , but never 1.42n or 1.43 , 1.53 never even started from Zbattle for me
i’m going to try to compile 1.42n on linux, let’s see.
I play some TMNT TF from time to time, but there don’t seem to be a lot of players into the game. PM me if you anyone is up for some games.
A small developer DarkAkuma has been working on a clone of zbattle and in light of its recent disappearance has decided to undergo releasing the software.
