I have real troubles executing combos with a fightstick, has anyone found success using a hitbox?
I mean inputting hcb as just slide across three buttons seems really appealing…

come on why not just practice with the stick you have? stop expecting things to be easy…
I’m expecting execution to be quite hard actually, just wondering I’ve noticed a negative stigma against hit boxes where does this come from?
I play on hitbox and have been doing so for the last 8 months and i think its perfect, if you got any questions i can answer them for you without bias (Y)
i think hit box is another way to trick gamers into buying crap
hitbox is nothing more than a keyboard with arcade style buttons
i rather play on keyboard which is technically the same
I play on hitbox too.my team is king ryo mature
KoFXIII let’s you skip the diagonals with anything more than a quarter circle, so you can use the slide tricks to make things easier. If you’re not comfortable with slide you can tap :f:, QCB for an easy half circle. Also supers like :d::df::f::df::d::db:+:atk: are much easier to digest when you input them as QCF, QCB + :atk:
As a guy who used to use keyboard, there’s two points you’re missing:
To someone like myself, that was worth the price of the Hitbox, as getting plexi and a case made to spec can be a huge hassle.
There’s nothing wrong with building you’re own. In fact, I encourage it if you have the means to throw one together yourself. The layout is sweet and you can’t beat responsive buttons that are super-comfortable to use. However, if you want to save time and effort, there’s the Hitbox crew ready to ship one out to you.
Also, Hitboxes make Takuma combos a piece of cake.
As a stick player, I would have rather learned on a hitbox ( mostly because I came from a PC gaming background, and I feel that a barrier on the execution with stick that always sticks around is your level of execution on P1 vs P2 sides, usually one is more consistent. I feel that doesn’t exist as much on a hitbox )
Unfortunately hitboxes weren’t ( still aren’t I believe ) as readily available as a TE stick was, especially across the particular platforms. I don’t think any real stigma exists unless you’re one of those “STICK>PAD” spouting mongos. Its just a controller, pick it up if you want one.
you know that almost every kb wont accept more than 3 inputs on the same tick, right?
Hitbox makes things easier to do which is good for the person using them but in some ways it gives an unfair advantage like walking 720s and whatnot which are incredibly hard to do on a regular stick and pretty easy to do on a hitbox.
how is the advantage unfair? this doesnt make sense if you do something on stick which is hard why should it be hard for another player? be it pad or hitbox
infact same with picking broken characters the tools are there to be used if you dont use them…well thats how you choose to live your life lol
I guarantee you have never touched a Hit Box before in your life if you think it’s easy.
