This guy’s a 40-year-old troll.
Yeah, you also live close to the border. It’s tough for others to do that. Be reasonable. Also, why spend all that money when you can get into a more popular and interesting game for cheaper?
A community will shrink if the only way to get good comp is to travel hundreds of miles, and deservedly so.
The SNK of 2009 isn’t worth supporting anymore. It doesn’t realize that niche games like SNK games need good netcode for people to find opponents. BB did, and there’s a reason BB did fairly well in the US while SNK’s name is mud, and deservedly so.
It will take a LOT for me to get anything from SNK ever again. I’d buy the next Blazblue before I’d buy the next SNK- and you of all people should know how I feel about Arcsys.
Edit: And it looked like my last line really butthurt the Arcsys Defense Force.

The border is 14 hours away from where I live… (From Northeast Texas to Far West Texas, lest you forget Texas is the 2nd biggest state in the USA. That’d be like crossing a few states elsewhere.)

Why spend that money when you can get into something else? To me that’s a sell out. Sure let others do that, but that’s selling out to me…Just like there are a few Street Fighter players in Mexico surrounded by the KOF players, there are diehard SNK and KOF players here surrounded by the Capcom masses. I refuse to sell out just because I dont have access to others around me. I’d rather sell everything I have than try to fit in with everyone else…I still think it’s an excuse because I’m self made…I’m proof it’s an excuse…I never let the lack of competition stop me…plus even for those that don’t live close to the border where’s there initiative??? I’d break my back helping someone if they show intiative…but I just ain’t seeing that and that’s my point…if you’re looking for excuses/a reason to lose/give up you’ll find them. If you’re looking for reasons to succeed/win, you’ll find them. Anything else is an excuse…it’s like an ass…everyone has one and it stinks.

There are things in the works I am not permitted to speak about right now in regards to SNKp America…talk to DeadlyRaveNeo…there are big plans in the future I assure you…he can fill you in on what I’m talking about…

Online doesn’t cut it for me…playing in person is far superior IMO…I’ve played online before now (I can say I have) and even if it was excellent netcode I still wouldn’t prefer it to playing in person. Just not how I work…the pros of playing in person vs. great comp farrrrr outweigh the pros of playing online…
I agree, but I’m in the middle, bro. You know my situation, so I won’t bore anyone over that - I like niche games and I’m a hermit that’s constantly in training mode for these games even though no-one else plays them but I won’t sell out to the crap people play these days even though they’re popular - that’s not why I play games. But at the same time people don’t have the resources to travel around constantly like you do. Like me; I’m in TX primarly to earn back money for college and my life, everything is secondary, whether I like it or not. I’m still very dedicated to all the games I play, but just because I can’t travel around everywhere doesn’t mean that makes me a dabbler or less worthy as fighting game player.
I’m pretty sure people like me are sick of sitting in practice mode all day and playing with strats and combos they can’t use. So while I won’t ever descend to playing mainstream stuff to potentially get a bigger scene, I can sorta understand why others might.
Did Alaska melt?
But my bottom line is this- I’m sick of hearing people make excuses for not getting better…the reason I am able to do what I do is not because I’m rich- it’s because I’ve taken the time necessary to get myself here. So I have very little sympathy for those that just keep making excuses…my bottom line is you put in whatever the time necessary to get the job done IF THAT’S WHAT YOU WANNA DO. Doing what I am doing now was my #1 priority AFTER GRADUATING college…and thus as I am working towards my PHD here I am doing what I wanna do, so yes this has been YEARS in the works…but when people were telling me I’d never achieve anything, never “Win EVO with a pad” and all this other garbage, I told them I WOULD (And I play with a chip on my shoulder always remembering this!)…took some time but the rest is history…thus I don’t buy into the excuses thing anymore, esp when all I see are people not progressing.
Alaska would be #1, Texas #2…so yes I stand corrected, but bottom line is still the same- If someone is looking for a reason to fail then THEY WILL FAIL. If they want to succeed what a company does or what OTHERS do will have little effect on them. Too many people are followers and are not leaders…

Well…I agree with you 100% there.
Yeah.
Kof 12 is amazingly
Sorry to troll but I couldn’t resist.
I’m interested in the game but really I’m not looking for a commitment that will require me traveling. I want some entertainment that I can pick up at my leisure and have fun with. So I’m not sure that our experiences will be the same in this.
Of course in that particular situation I cannot recommend any KOF due to how much everyone here likes SF, GG, and other types of games…I cannot recommend KOF unless you are just wanting to play it for fun…
Dark Troll imo.
I’ve been playing fighting games art home since the Genesis/SNES, Art of Fighting, King of Fighters, TMNT ect. Then I had people to play with at home but now that has changed and online play is what I need to keep interested. I’ve always loved the style, artistic and game play of KoF, and really want to pick this up but not if all I can do is play with myself
It never fails anywhere I post you always troll to follow. Stuart The Dumbass Hayden IMO.
People like you Stuart are why I’m where I am today. Haters like you make me strong, push me to do what I do and why I am so effective at it…
So I just wanted to thank you for giving me that extra motivation to whoop ass while I’m at tournaments…
Yeah I understand man, but bottom line is the netcode isn’t the greatest for KOFXII or other SNK console games, so for the time being you’ll have to play at home, or train someone near you to learn the game (Which I’m doing also). I’d be more than happy to give you suggestions or help you along the way, just send me a PM.
Look, I burned that shit , and feel I wasted my DVD-R.
I would NOT recommend anyone to buy that game for actual cash.
I want my d/l time, burn time, and DVD back from SNK.
It would better serve those considering purchasing it if you elaborated why you feel that way.
God you’re gay…
Who the fuck do you think you are barking orders at others, kid?
Respect your elders, bitch. Now gtfo already :r:
I don’t get it.
How about…I don’t gtfo, and I don’t respect the elders cause we’re on the internet? Unless, you respect me, of course.
There’s an old saying that goes something along the lines of “Respect has to be earned”.
I think here’s their way of earning respect: “Hey there’s an 09’er! Lets put him in the red!” “Sure! Lets make him gtfo!” Random Posts Telling me to gtfo Me: “I just got here lol.” Comes up with something to say back to them “Lets make fun of him cause he’s 11!” “Yeah, lets!” They all act on it, then they get all sorts of respect+green rep
