Does anyone have an ASUS vg236he Monitor?

You may be better off with getting two monitors, one TN panel and a nice IPS panel like the Ultrasharp u2311H for photo work.

Also about the green tint. Have you tried using a different splendid setting like scenery? I know I get a bluish one when I use theater.

The monitor does use splendid doesn’t it?

yeah i have, it basically just adds stuff like sharpness saturation etc. I don’t understand why they didn’t put it all together, for example i would have to change to game mode to access saturation sharpness etc. But yeah i probably don’t notice any of that stuff but the problem is it would be all different and i’d still get unnatural colors from the splendid modes.

My old monitor was fine :stuck_out_tongue:

@hyu - Which monitor did you get? If you got the Asus VG236H, try these settings:

Standard Mode
Brightness** 44**
Contrast 80
Trace Free 60

Color Temp
Warm
OR
User Mode
R-95
G-89
B-95

Yeah that’s one thing I don’t like about VW246H I have. I wish there was a custom profile.

Scenery and Theater for me give me access to Saturation which is what I use. Scenery is ok, Theater has a blue tint.

You really should get a regular TN panel for games and an IPS panel for color accuracy.

Top one is an Asus with similar technology inside.

Yep, I still have my NEC 20WGX2 (AS-IPS) as a secondary monitor for that very reason.

those settings don’t look good at all tbh

and my old monitor was accurate enough to determine colors etc and i’m not willing to fork out more cash for an ips panel.

i might as well return it in a couple of days unless someone has some good settings i could use
