Does anyone have a guide or video on how to remove TE Round1/2 Sidepanels?

Hey guys I’m new to the site and am currently in the process of customizing my first 2 sticks for me and my fiancée however I am at a loss and can’t find a single guide or video on how to remover the Madcatz TE Round 1 sidepanels? Since I have the round 1 I want to remove the sidepanels off of both and then vinyl dye them black and put them back on so any guide on how to remove them would help. Since I am new to customizing a stick if possible I would like to remove them in a way that would leave the internal circuitry in place to prevent me from messing them up, however there is no such way I can make do so long as the sides are off for the dying.
Thank you so much in advance for any help

You gotta pop the bottom off then unscrew the screws you see behind it (make notes of which holes are filled first with a sharpie). The body of a TE 1 is actually two pieces of plastic bolted together - it’s a total asshole construction-wise compared to the classic RAP, which just uses one.

To remove TE Round 1/2 side panels, first inspect the side panel properly and then now insert the putty knife properly in the side panels, then after grabbing the molding so it will be pulled up to the top, place the molding back and tap the corner down tight.

Thank you, and just to be sure I understand, After removing the bottom, I then remove the next panel and then the side panels will come off? Or are the side panels screwed down in anyway? Also can I do all this with the top still on and without having to unplug the buttons or joystick at that time again to keep the circuitry in place if possible? And yeah from what I’ve seen it appears to be a little trickier to remove panels than others

to take off the side panels, you just take off the metal plates then take off the screws holding the middle plastic together (the ones visible from the bottom when the bottom plate comes off). After that you lift the pieces apart (search on youtube if you need a visual example) then get access to the side panel screws.
