I still play the game. Just another game in my specialty list because nobody around the scene is willing to learn it.
Instead of us all complaining how the scene is dead and no one plays. lets just all get on MAME and play.

Tell me what you think of my Vampire Chronicle PSP FAQ (go to my homepage). It’s mostly storyline but it gets a lot of hits and it’s not bad for a short-descriptive movelist.
I still play anything made by Capcom unless it’s MAXIMO. Darkstalkers wasn’t a bad series I just wish Capcom wold stop fuckin’ around and stop releasing re-vamped or collection versions of this game and just make a new one.
oye, for a concise movelist, it gets the job done. It does make me wonder though, what determines what a command normal is. b/c, to me, at an extreme case, victor, zabel, and bishamon, have alot of command normals(in a dhalsim sort of way), where pressing forward(or holding down a button longer w/ vic)+normal has the respective character doing a different normal move than normal.
And when I think of it, I really am not sure if i’m familiar with that part of the fgc’s standards.
take talbain/gallon’s s.mk. he can do f+mk, which looks exactly like neutral s.mk, except he moves forward a bit, and loses bufferability… that kind’ve shit makes me wonder.
p.s. i thought maximo was a good game…

Darkstalkers was a cool game series, and i have the Darkstalkers collection for the PS2. However, eh, for some reason i never quite felt the “connection” to DS as i did the various SF titles.
Darkstalkers was the oddball, lesser known, blacksheep franchise of capcom fighters.
The first Maximo game was frustrating, lousey, and felt flawed in its game design. Blehh!
Maximo Vs the Army Of Zin, now THAT game was GOOD! Lots of good platforming, and beat’em up action in that title.
yeah DS is my main game, always has been. Only problem is I live without any competition. I mention VS, my crew goes " yeah, its pretty much the best 2d fighter" then they go back to playing Crap vs Shit 2. Go figure. I played it on kaillera with gbursine awhile back. Lot of fun but i think i need a good usb converter for my stick. If anyone has any reccomendations I’ll be happy to join in on the VS. Aside from VS the only games I play these days are VF and Eyeshield 21 for the PS2.
Capcom pisses me of becuase Darkstalkers could be so much better but Capcom won’t make a new one.FUCKIN BASTARDS!! It sucks because I love Capcom but sometimes they do stupid shit like not make SF4 or fuck up the Megaman X series by making it 3d!
I just started back playing Darkstalkers last week. It’d be great if Capcom made a new one, but sadly I don’t think it’s going to happen any time soon.:sad:

I don’t think it’s necessarily that. It’s just that there’s no reason to get good at it.
Why get good at VS when there are 3rd Strike tournaments everywhere?
That’s why I don’t prod people into playing Last Blade 2, because good game or not, I know there’s no scene for it, so I’m not gonna con people into playing something without any real competition.
C’mon fellas, wondering if capcom will make a new darkstalkers game, is like wondering if we’ll ever see a SF4 or MVC3. Won’t happen.
Just enjoy the games that are there…i think there’s about 6 DS games in all. Plenty.
Speaking of DS, i wonder if any of those various Darkstalker toon/animes released, were any good.
