Anger does not equal frustration. A Desire to kill (or in our case, Win) is all it takes to make us more likely to defeat our opponents, because we focus more on the task at hand.
Anger can give me great patience, for some reason. It’s rare, but it happens.
You don’t desire the win, you just want to see your opponent suffer. Basically the same thing though.
I’ll rephrase then Doopliss.
A desire to Defeat your opponent.
Depends on what you’re angry about, most often the anger comes from frustration, which will make you play worse.
However anger due to hate or will to win is different, and I find you can play better from it.
Street Fighter II demands utmost self-control, so that’s what I look for when playing. Anger leads to recklessness and frustration, which can cloud my judgment, which often leads to predictable behavior.
Sanford gets better when he’s angry.
Depends. If I’m angry at myself because I’m playing really poorly for my standards, I get worse. If I’m angry because I’m playing against someone I hate, I do pretty well.
If I’m angry at myself, I do terribly. This leads to me completely breaking down if I miss an easy combo.
I actually do best when I’m really excited and happy.
cool, calm, and collected is when im at my best.
In my experience playing vs people who have gotten angry. It did little to aid them during the match. If anything it was part of why they lost. Since they became more impatient. Which lead to mistakes you could punish. Then you have the ones who become crazed berserkers. Which can really work against them. As long as you are not thrown off. When the flow changes and they. Start charging after you with everything they have. Since they are currently in “rage mode”. With only one goal in mind. Crush you with overwhelming force.
But most people I have faced. Who had lost there composure. Simply became angry or went into a rage. As we know anger comes in many shapes and flavors. So I am shore some can use it to there advantage. At least to a point if. They where not being aggressive enough during a match, holding back a little for some reason, or thinking to much. About every move they make. Under those conditions getting a little angry. But still in total control. Probably helps to break them free of those shackles.
With that said you also have people who like to. Play with, set traps for, and manipulate players when they are angry during a match.
I try to stay calm and collected.
Being angry makes people do stupid things(both in game and in real life)
Getting angry not only hinders my play but my learning from a match, but I don’t get angry most of the time. I’ve been playing Vampire Savior here and there, getting my ass handed to me, but it’s learning experience and I believe if you are angry during matches, you don’t learn anything.
anger is bad mmmkay

If the score is 4 - 12, the opponent’s talking shit and I’m out to prove a point that I can win…It helps
lolchix
When I get angry, I just stop playing the game and take a break.
It’s just a game, playing while stressed is just unhealthy and pointless.
