Ok i got that combo that marlin did at nec down, my own variation of course. Its actually not that hard. you just have to time to low plasma beam right so you can get as many hits before you fall down with the air low, of course this will require you to time last bit of his m&ms so that the butter gun hits the opponent as low as he can. Working on a side and a up exchange version now.

btw i noticed that you can get an infinite setup midscreen with doom in a down exchange, if you immediately addf and do low plasma beam. I dont know what to get off of that so if anybody knows or willing to can help me, please do lol.

That Doom can combo that efficiently after finger lasers during slow. I always just go for TACs if my order gets switched for some reason.

I’m working on some relatively easy tac sequences, and for up tac, when I do:

Tac hit, addf, fly, MM adf MM add MM

But when I do this add, for some reason I’m just falling to the ground and the Ms are missing. When I down tac I’m getting the Ms adf Ms add Ms no prob, but up and side the add keeps taking me to the ground.

Any idea what gives?

Does anybody know how to do the TAC combos on bigger characters??? Im trying to land the air Light plasma beam but it never huts twice for the soft knockdown. Please help

I think it’s because you are really close to the ground when you do it from a down TAC. You can’t just airdash down to land when you are in flight mode so you just stay slightly higher than the ground until flight expires or if you unfly/footdive. I suggest that you just do Tac hit, addf, fly, MM adf MM adf MM j:h:., j.:m:(1 hit) j.:m:(1 hit) xx :l: plasma beam, j.:m:, land rocks xx super for up exchanges. It won’t be too hard to learn but it will teach you how to do the mediums in flight and everything after that.

Yeah I think so, you would just need to input the j.:m: after the plasma beam a little bit earlier because you will be closer to the ground off a side exchange.

How would you change this sequence for down? Actually got the up one working, so with the proper modifications to down ill be set!

Anyway, holy shit, after months of inability, your post made me go from not able to tac to able to tac in like 5 min time lol my 2 remaining questions, if you don’t mind:

  1. The above. How you modify this easy sequence for down. I’ve been doin the exact same thing but just starting with tac hit xx fly, adf MM etc. And it seems to work, tho I’m missing the M after plasma. Is that me messing up or do you end it different for down?

  2. In your up sequence, after the jM after plasma, feels like I don’t have time to rocks upon landing. Nothing between that jM and ground rocks? Honestly, I can just finga lazahs off the jM and it hits so that could be sufficient.

Great to hear that you were able to do the TAC’s!
Anyway, to answer your questions:

  1. That is a good question. Tbh I don’t know any way to do the same kind of combo with down because you are way too low after a down TAC to do it like the Up TAC. Here are some ideas. I don’t know if any of these will actually work or not though.
    Air dash forward after the TAC hit, do the M’s and the ADF’s, pretty much the same except after the H, do LM instead of two mediums. After the plasma beam you would still need to input the M a lot quicker though.
    Right as the TAC hits, do LLMM(1 hit) ADUF, LLM fly, rest of combo. You would need to input the M while falling earlier than usual. This one is trickier, but the trick is to input the beginning very quickly.
    That’s all the ideas I have right now, sorry it’s late right now lol.
  2. Basically what you need to do, and this goes for all directions, is hit j.:m: after the plasma beam when you close to the ground so you land right after the j.:m: and you have enough time to hit them with rocks. I had trouble with the timing too, it just takes some practice.

you can wiff an l to go down faster

You don’t have to whiff anything doing that particular thing since if you do it fast enough Doom won’t slow down as he lands. Which part are you having problems with? The :s:, the :l:…?
