I want to see this though, Im having trouble visualizing it. Please explain how you can combo a three piece sj. air series after the Missile and land before they recover? I know it causes dead state, but it seems crazy that that works. :rock:
after i do d.lk, d.mk, s.hk, i call bb.hood before i superjump.
then while superjumping, i do lk, hp…hp, hits them into the missile.
while falling, i do lp, lk, mk, but very slowly so i control the height.
then i land, and normal jump and do: lp, lk, mp, mk.
land again, and then superjump lk, mk, lp web ball.
and just like marvel super heroes, i jab, then lk, then mk…then land again.
i superjump once more into magic series because i couldnt continue the web ball process.
trust me, i’m not just saying this.
you all will see it…THATS A PROMISE.
oh okay, i read it wrong. my bad.
thats just a variation on an old combo. I wasn’t aware that you could NJ series though after that drop down setup though and still combo. I got a few ideas now because of this, there are some mad nasty crossups waiting to happen from a spin on that setup.

i’m trying to invent the longest spidey combo possible in mvc2.
if it were like msh where i can do as many web balls as i want, that would have easily been an infinite.
crossups are easy when you know what you’re doing, but in combo videos you have to show combos that are guarenteed to work.
but my boy just told me that you’re an O.G with spidey so i’ll take what you just said as a compliment.

i’ll give you a challenge though shoultzula:
after the web ball, and lp, lk, mk, instead of superjumping into the regular magic series, you can do an additional j.lp, j.lk, j.mp, j.mk, then superjump magic series.
the first jump series was hard enough…but if you can pull off the second one, i will bow down and give you the crown.
all jokes aside, i couldnt do it…i tried it for like about 3 hrs.
i know its possible…
so do you accept?
and one more thing.
i might be pushing it…but if we work together on this, we might come up with a spidey infinite.
after the normal jump series, you can rejump and press (slowly) lp, lk, mk…land.
thing is, i always panic and fuck it up.
do you think we could come up with a rejump inf with spidey?

Spidey Infinite has been hovering around 1.5 reps for a long time now. I don’t see why an elaborate setup would yield the proper height when you can pick your height with Psy assist and still no dice with any kind of rejump series. Here’s hoping though, your combo hurts my brain, I’m gonna try it :]

Haha, I feel you. Nobody reads this stuff, you gotta post it up for the few people that do. You wont get all that much recognition since most ppl just wanna scavenge and not give back. Best way to get noticed is to make a video because people want that instant gratification without havin to wade through text :china:
The folks who can demonstrate new ideas and techniques verbally are really on another level of understanding the game though, so for the few that follow the boards there is a lot to learn from each other. Its pretty thankless though :nunchuck:
Wolvie definitely misses crouch cancels, but I think he can hold his own in this game. I made a new thread, you should add some things.
Back to Spidey though, for this combo of yours, is the extended version you listed only for Juggs, or is it possible to do the whole setup on say Cable or Mag?
You run Spidey/BB/XX?? Who’s in your third slot? and do you find BB/Spidey to have good chemistry or is that just a flashy for fun combo?

if i make an attempt to juggle cable/mag like that, they’ll go too high…and truthfully, thats too much work.
i have another useless combo with spidey on juggy…
after the web ball, lp, lk, mk, if juggy is low enough you can try to dash in and do lk, mp…for a crossup relaunch.
why pick this one?
when you dash in, if you’re on the left dashing right, the lk hits with spidey facing right, but he turns around and hits mp on juggy’s left…
it doesnt combo, but i bet you that your opponent (juggy) wont expect to block both left and right in one combo…cute, but still useless.
my spidey bb.hood go really good together.
i have that combo which i abuse alot, and then there’s crossups by calling out her assist, and web dashing to the other side for a high/low combo.

I’m workin on some funny cross-up resets with Spidey also. If you do dash dfHK, then do a second properly timed dashing dfHK, the second one will animate from the opposite side. At first I thought it would be useful, but i forgot that the dfHK launcher is only a medium normal, so the damage is actually useless. Probably only ever useful for flash, or if you play Spidey/Psy.

a few pages back, I posted a way to get a rejump series that I dubbed the spidey infinite. Technically, it has never been ironed out because I stopped messing with the timing.
The most important part is the first jump series you posted up. J.lp, j.lk, j.mp, j.mk. Trade out j.mk for a j.fp. What will happen is the opponent will be aimed down but when you do a j.fp @ the right time vs certain character sizes, you can NJ again. As you’re probably aware, the j.fp doesn’t cause a flying screen. Very tight timing and only possible vs certain character sizes AND its a just frame combo.
