if Level-Up is talking professionalism in the hopes of digging that spo00ky doesn’t rock the button down, that shit’s just dumb. if Level-Up is talking professionalism in a sense that they get the job done in a manner that is satisfactory and pleasing, then they need to take a good hard look in the mirror. getting lined up and wearing a button-down tucked into your jeans and wearing a blazer doesn’t make you a professional…getting the job done right makes you a professional.
you posted the link without any description, levelup basically says they are sorry for the twitter comments they made against Team Spooky, both do good work, it is not finalized who is gonna stream Evo, whoever gets the honor they will be happy

but my problem is the commentary. as long as they put James Chen and or Ultradavid then i dont mind.
i dont like their other commentators (Sabin is great) but anyone else are just R rated for mature audience only. :nono:

Would like for Team Spooky to stream EVO, but it probably won’t happen. EVO is not about quality or emphasizing what is important, it’s about who you are friends with, NOT THE COMMUNITY. Why else do you always see the same dull and bland LevelUp commentary? Their excitement sounds fake. Keeping it “Hollywood.” TS stream keeps it real and often time is hilarious. There is a reason why, some of the most famous quotes and meme are from EC, and NOT WC!
I hear if you mention this whole spooky thing in the capcom channel on irc you can get banned. With EVO there’s an entire network of people who are already established to work with each other. And they’re all californians. There’s no hope for anyone living outside of that state. Even if you’re proven consistent as spooky.
People say what spooky said was rude. But I think it was required, and well deserved, if you need to be a part of this Golden State Elite Boys Club for Evo consideration.
Spooky which streams from other countries and has been the most consistent stream for the past two years should be the natural choice. My vote goes for spooky.Honestly, I think that when the difference in passion and quality is so far and beyond the competition you want him to get the chance.
I’d like to see Evo let Spooky stream, even if it’s just a second stream. There are too many matches going on at Evo to be okay with just having one stream.
If this community and people who are going to watch EVO via stream wants Spooky to do the job, shit got to be official and visible. One thread in SRK forums is hardly that. This community needs to gather evidence that it is real we want Spooky to handle the streaming. Petition should be made official and posted in fighting game websites, such as Eventhubs, IPW, Tekken Zaibatsu etc. since most of the people who are going to watch the stream visit those sites. For example with a poll clearly showing thousands of people want Spooky to stream EVO, EVO organizers could not ignore this matter. That kind of evidence would also show if EVO organizers are thinking only their own interest which translates to cashing out using the community or if they truly keep shit real and listen to the people.
Spooky should do MvC3. He’s the hype man, for the hype game, with the hype commentators
LevelUp can do SF4. With the game specialists, analysis, and focus on technical data that drives that game.
To be it fits both of them perfectly. Different games, different audiences, different requirements from commentators.
Honestly everyone watching is going to watch BOTH anyway, so whatever. That way you can show more matches, technically have more simultaneous views, and from what I understand it shouldn’t kill bandwidth that much anyway.

No matter what happens, I think EVO needs to have MULTIPLE STREAMS is the main point. There is so much going on the first 2 days and so much to show, it would be a crime not to have multiple ones. The last Finals day would be just 1 stream of course.
MVC3, SSF4, and MK9 all need shine!!

*edit: I’ll be at Evo anyways, but if I wasn’t I would absolutely would rather see TS do the stream. No disrespect to Level Up, but there is no comparison in my view. The commentary and overall stream quality for TS is miles ahead.

Unfortunately the illuminati won’t let sp00ky stream EVO. In a perfect world Mr. Wizard and the Cannons would let sp00ky and level up both stream EVO and let the numbers speak for themselves. I have a funny feeling sp00ky would have about 5 times the viewers. Attention EVO Staff: California does not represent the entire country.
