do you guys think that by not releasing Bang the machine, it brings in more people to EVO? I would think its a great marketing tool to get new blood into it.
Yep, if it’s released as a torrent nothing happens. They might sue the torrent site, but lol I think they are too busy dealing with all other torrents that are there already. I’m surprised nobody uploaded it yet
I don’t think anybody goes to EVO specifically just to watch Bang the Machine. Same amount of people would go if they don’t show it. People go there to play, watching the film is just the cherry on top.
I agree, although last year we had random people (not in Vegas for Evo) sit through Bang the machine o.O. This old couple watched the entire thing.
If it got released via torrent…no one would get sued and it would never get taken down, thats just how the beast is. I’d think that a company like EVO would have the funds to release this product, regardless of music licensing(as i heard that was one of the issues).

I think you underestimate the funds needed for the music licensing.
But not being part of the Evo staff I wouldn’t know for sure.
Being a filmmaker, i know that music can cost but its definalty not that expensive anymore, plus there are agreements that can be made with the distribution and the back end etc.
To put out 1500 units of a said dvd just to replicate it costs about 2 grand or less That is just for the disk, box, cover, wrap.
lets say u sell a dvd for 20 bux and u only sell 1000 units thats 20 grand. Lets say your music cost combined is 5grand, thats still 15 g profit. And there is 500 more units left for either giveways or promos etc(but u wont promo all 500 anyway).
