So im proud to say I came first this past weekend at the Detroit Kendo Tournament. My group had 64 people in it so I won 6 matches to win in the finals.

Sanda/Sanshou should be in the Olympics over Karate. It really seems to be a good compromise of all the various combat sports.

You get:

All the punching and kicking of boxing, karate and TKD, as well as low kicks, some clinching, and all the throwing of Judo. They already use chestguards and headgear, so protection isn’t a problem. The Sanda World Cup skips the chest and headguards, though, so it’s a matter of how they want to present themselves.

It does seem they’re moving away from knees, but I’m OK with that. Gotta leave Muay Thai with something after all.

I have a question: does anyone know what MA style David Carradine has in Lone Wolf Mcquade ?

I know Carradine wasn’t really a martial artist, but I’m still interested in what style his moves are coming from. This is one of the first movies I’ve seen as a kid, and I was always fascinated by Carradine’s snake like style.
