Do YOU do any Martial Arts?

I can safely say without having read the thread that anyone with a japanese/anime username posting about their irl shoto skills is full of it

Itā€™s a demo. Of course heā€™s telegraphing his attacks, his intent is to show them. Thats why they filmed it. This thread is too much, if you were to fight him heā€™d probably run off and call the fkkkkn polis, put your frame data away.

Takezo, I did apologize for that. I wish I hadnā€™t done it and I wonā€™t do it again.

But there can only be one!

Damn, I have an anime avatar so I need to get a new avatar before Iā€™m allowed to talk with the big boys.

edit:

Whatever, Iā€™ll ask anyway.

I want to know what are some good weights. For now, I train with 100lbs:
1 40lb vest
2 6lb thigh weights
2 20lb ankle weights
2 4lb wrist weights

The vest ainā€™t bad, but the other parts donā€™t hold on and fly off.

Anyone got any good recommendations for some good ones? My equipment is made by All Pro by the way. I need something that wonā€™t restrict my movement much by the way.

I know Kiku-Yo-Assu. Does that count? LOL jk.

But seriously, I know how to bust a guyā€™s jaw, cheek bone, and nose in one shot. Gotta hit him in the right angle on the face with your palm, not the fist.

ninjitsu yes they still call it that even though wiki says over wise, yet Doctor Hatsumi still calls it ninjitsu, http://www.ninjutsu.com/soke-hatsumi.shtml

No one likes Bajiquan? :frowning:

Bajiquan, like every other martial art that cannot comply to the octagonā€™s rules, is garbage./sarcasm

I didnā€™t really know about it til I read in Leo from Tekken 6ā€™s profile.

Yeah me too. Akira from VF showed me how awesome Bajiquan was and seeing Leo made me fall in love with it even more. Akira/Leo are probably my favorite video game characters now.

There ARE some beautiful and effective Asian martial arts. But you see - my style teaches some very important lessons.

Honor doesnā€™t mean shit, Iā€™m going to kick you in the balls and shoot your face. Then run away before I have to do the same to your friends who are most likely rethinking their life choices as criminals and voiding their bowels.

Honour and weapons are for pussies.

Id rather be a pussy then get shot or stabbed

TouchƩ, good sir.

Yeah, ditto. 17 rounds of EQUALIZER BABY! HOOYEAH!

Are you a troll or literally the biggest internet tough guy ever; at this level of greatness you deserve recognition either way

I do not do any martial arts.
I do, however, plan on doing some when/if I ever have time *and *money. Hopefully that happensā€¦
Also, lol at some of this threads posts.

Weapons are a tool that can be an advantage if used properly.

I donā€™t know what your beliefs are, but what I do know is that if a criminal invades my home to take my life or anyone I greatly care about, I will not allow it. When a criminal threatens me or someone I care about with deadly force, your concepts, whether they be honor, laws, rules, etc, are meaningless.

I remember when I was younger and grasped onto some of your beliefs. Then I was coming home from college, taking the F train after 11:00PM since NYU graduate classes ended late. A large black man approached me and attempted to steal my laptop case. My laptop had my semester long projects and work I did for my parentsā€™ jobs, so I wasnā€™t going to give it up and just ignored him. It then turned for the worse when he put his right hand in his pocket and started to withdraw his gun. Before I could think about concepts such as honor, before he aligned the gun to point at my face, his body flew several feet across the train car.

(I wasnā€™t some tough guy and previously never defended myself, although I didnā€™t start intensive physical training until I got older and was extremely weak before then.)

I was sort of in shock due to my near death experience and the fact that I broke one of my rules I set for myself to never break, great injury to other humans. Right after he flew I sat back down and my body couldnā€™t move for about half an hour until it was my train stop and my body then automatically got up and walked out. The guy did not move at all for that half hour but he was really big so I think he was just unconscious for a little.

Anyways, everyone has their own rules and plans. Unfortunately life doesnā€™t always go according to plan. Some choices people make, you really have to be in the same situation to have a chance to begin to understand it.

Itā€™s like that boxing quote, everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.

That was a frightening experience for me, but it greatly changed me and made me able to see and understand things I previously could not.

I forgot to clarify. I meant that in a mono-a-mono fight.

In warfare, I respect the melee weapons wars over firearms and artillery warfare. To be able to pick a guy off from across the battlefield is just cowardly IMO.

Have you ever been in a war? Do you know what its like to get shot at?

I mean, I know you said ā€œIMOā€ because on the internet that means ā€œim gonna just say all kinds of shit here so deal with itā€ but if youā€™re going to start talking about cowardice as it relates to dudes coming at you with axes, spears, rifles, and grenades and shit; i think itā€™s a pretty fair question
