I remember one PoM it was only me and some other guy for a whole month or two before I finally conceded because it was taking way too long. PoM challenges are always funny because of the people that participate so enthusiastically and then most drop out in the first week.

It didn’t drop off immediately but if you compared 2004 shenanigans to 2001 shenanigans you’d find that they weren’t comparable. Seriously, no holds barred levels of hate. Straight up attrition. The MODS were sending people to concentration camps. Avatars were unregulated. Good times.

Naw, 2k4 had some good laughs (gaia raid). The rules started to toughen up around 05, and some vets just bounced because they didn’t like the changes. SRK turned soft to them.

I’d have registered in 2000 if I knew what the hell happened with Fighters.net. It was there one day, gone the next. It was all “we’ll be back soon.”(This was a lie)

I personally know the guys who used to run that site. I’ll give them a call tonight and see what their plans are. They told me that they were bringing it back a couple months ago.
And, I think I’m OG. People think so too since I have knowledge of the older games.
