I miss Gamesharks… I refuse to play through Tekken’s 6 Scenario Mode ad nauseum just to get some gold, and I unfortunately play everyone
I honestly haven’t noticed. Outside of GTA and Contra games I don’t make use of cheat codes.
That sounds fine. The writers were paid for their work on those, months ago, and many copied Game FAQ’s anyway. An old Alpha 3 section of Expert Gamer Magazine was 100% a gamefaqs & just movelists, sigh. And that was around 1999-2000.
Now taking those Demo Discs out of them without putting down $8 on the Magazine = 7-Eleven owner would watch you kids like a hawk, taking value out of their magazine racks.
Vergil and Zero are like Gameshark codes, you need to understand them first. Wesker and Phoenix, just press buttons, what’s the worst that could happen?

I think GTA 4 does and SR3 even though the majority of them can be unlocked with grinding. I wouldn’t really know otherwise. I play through games the old fashioned way - with skill.
Screw mods. They look cheap and unprofessional, which is a given since modders didn’t design the games they mod.
Developers put Cheat codes and easter eggs in the game for players to discover and find out. It keeps players tuned into the game long after they beat it trying to find hidden stuff. Modders say “Fuck your game and your easter eggs” and just change stuff to their liking. It’s kinda a slap in the face to developers. It’d be like writing a book and having someone change parts of the story then posting them on a the net claiming it’s better than the original.
Nothing beats that confirmation sound when you put in a cheat code.
Sadly, outside of the GTA series, only the throw back games have cheats now. Everything is moving towards that DLC route…which is garbo, imo. But hey, gotta roll with the punches i guess…
I’m no achievement whore, but making them unobtainable by use of cheat codes makes cheat codes far less enticing.
Plus, yeah, games are generally easier (though, far better) than they were back in the day.
Mods are awesome.
Nah New game plus aint shit,
I thought I was the only one who’d get sick from playing games. Well, when I was playing Rugrats In Paris for the 64, my stomach started to ache and I didn’t feel like playing the game anymore. It was just…bleh…
I got sick watching a I Wanna Be The Gaiden run cause there was a mod where the screen kept spinning around
I dont think you beat the black phantoms on NG+ there a pain
As someone previously stated everything just does more damage, there is nothing else to fear especially with dumb npcs like Mildred and Dark Knight walking around. This game is really just like a Beat em up. I treat this game in the same fashion I do streets of rage or Final fight.
