he’s almost always on AIM, so you shouldn’t have a problem getting in touch with him. i’ve IM-ed him a couple times after i got my stick, and he always responded in a timely fashion.

I PM’d him last week cause i’ve been waiting for about the same amount of time. He said he’d have mine out on Saturday but I haven’t heard anything since so i guess AIM is the best choice. He said there was another person who had been waiting so i guess that was you.

Uh… that’s not how you operate a business. And people are going to want quick service… ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY PAY UP FRONT. You can’t run some shoddy, here-today-gone-tomorrow business when people pay you before you do anything. You can’t just stop answering PM’s… IM’s… and ducking out in general when you have people’s money. I’ve seen people get killed for that, over less than $150…
It took Matrix 2 months to make a stick for my friend, even when we stressed the point that we needed that shit ASAP, to prepare for Evo. Long story short, we paid him in the beginning of June, and we got the stick the day before we left for Evo. He would disappear randomly, and I had to threaten legal action before he miraculously reappeared from “out of town” and responded finally, after about a week of ducking. It still took him longer than promised to ship the stick out, even after that.
This happened about a month ago, and I wasn’t even gonna say anything, even though he really fucked us, just because I’m not a hater… but obviously, this nigga is doing this to a bunch of people, and it really should be know.
The sticks themselves are alright. Clean wiring, decent design… but the customer service is horrible.
I actually would like my own stick… but I’m not gonna put myself through the bullshit.
Dreaded Fist recommended me to DJ_Matrix just today, and I know he at least does clean , tight work that holds up. I’ve dealt with him in the past, and while I don’t know what he is personally going through, I know It’s probably not his intention to scam anyone. It sucks getting slow service, but I’ve seen this happen with so many stick builders. Hope to hear from DJ_Matrix soon, (I have a special request for you.)
Guys need to understand stick building especially customs is really annoying work, and with economy, work, school, and everyone losing their free time, to make it up this is what happens. DJ is a straight person, so hang in there, you’ll get your refund.
I don’t think he’s trying to scam anyone. I just think he lacks respect for the fact that people want a product quickly, and lacking that, at least decent customer service along the way. I mean… niggas PAY IN ADVANCE! As a businessperson, you have to respect that fact.
Ducking and hiding, as opposed to being upfront and forthright about the reality of the process is just shitty business, IMO.
The only reason I dealt with him to begin with is because of the plug from DFist (who made a stick for me, that I still use, back in '04). DFist was a beast with the customer service, though. The whole process, he kept me updated, he shipped quickly, overall, he did what he said he would do.
This guy just doesn’t.
Sorry gents I dont check too often in my thread as I should… and there isnt any ducking or hiding. Im usually on aim especially at my day job as i can access it there. Shoot im at work right now.
Those 2 guys above are the only ones ive been slow on… i shipped both their sticks out like monday i think on my lunch break.
Until i get my new schedule the only day i have time for shipping on is saturday as i work every day from 8-6 and the post office is closed when im off.
Unlike some others here I dont have time to make an epic update everyday but reachin me on Aim is pretty darn easy as its on quite often whether it be at night or during the day.
And Havoc i think i did your friend right… im sorry if he didnt get his stick on time but man you guys took a while to get me a shipping address and i had to stick you ahead of the que infront of others just cuz you asked… and i didnt take anything in rush from either of you. also i didnt charge him the shipping cost as a gratitude for his buisness which says something right there… and i even stuck shipping refund for the other 2 guys in their boxes.
oh and that out of town was forreal… i went out and bought a car… so i had to go out of town. sorry if me buying a collectors car and not wanting to air out my underwear online makes me look shady.
Right now i work mon- friday 8-6 which is eating up my time. soon ill start my sat-mon schedule which will free up alot of my time during the week to ship and make these beast sticks that i do. plus my price is alot cheaper than most others for quality work.

Listen, I understand where you’re coming from, but it’s really not true about the shipping address. I got you a shipping address like the day after we ordered. I remember giving you a shipping address like 8 different times. You just couldn’t keep track of it, apparently.
I understand you might be busy. All I’m saying is that you owe it to your customers, especially given the fact that they pay ahead of time, to be upfront about everything. If you are going to be doing something for a week that’s going to take up all of your time, then you should say so. I don’t know what it’s like in your town, but I know where I’m from, it’s never cool to take somebody’s money, promise one thing (a time-frame of 2-3 weeks), fail to deliver with no explanation, and then disappear.
It’s whatever though. All in all, I feel like the experience could have been much better. Again… it’s been a month, and I hadn’t even said a word about the situation, until I happened to read that there are guys that have been waiting 3 months, and can’t even get a reply from you. I think that shit is shady, at worst, and just really bad business, at least. You say you have feedback, and that’s cool. I just think that your feedback needs to reflect the positive, and the negative.
I really have no interest in killing off your side business. I really don’t. In all seriousness, I might want to get something for myself in the future (I just know not to rely on getting it with any speed). BUT, I think it’s only fair that potential consumers have ALL the real information before deciding on purchasing from you. If they read what I wrote, and still want to buy… that’s fine. If time isn’t that important… fine. But if there’s a consumer out there, that needs something in a specific time frame, and wants to be kept abreast of the whole process… then he needs to know that that isn’t something that you always offer (I can’t speak on how anyone else’s experience was… only mine).
