I just want my money back at this point. It’s been 6-7 months and I’m tired of waiting. I feel its completely reasonable of me to demand my money be refunded. I’m actually mad at myself for not just calling visa and/or paypal and getting my money back, since I could already tell it was leading to this.
Everyone has personal problems and I wish you luck with them, but to be perfectly honest, I don’t know you and I don’t really care. We’re not friends or family, we are simply people who ordered a product and it has not been delivered.
i’ve called him six times since my last post, and he never picked up. it rings about five times, and then his phone asks me to leave a message. unless he lost his phone, i can’t find another reason why he can’t return any of my calls.
i really hoped he would pull through. i guess i’m an idiot.
street fighter iv has been out for a few days, and i’m going to help run a tournament at my school in two weeks. and, guess what? i don’t have my stick.
Ouch. I really feel for those that ordered a stick through him.
kayel_justice, you may want to read the past few months worth of posts within this thread and rethink your idea.
Even though I didn’t order one from this guy, str[e]ak put forth a hell of a lot of energy and time trying to get people their products. Huge props man.
Who knows? You very well might be. Apparently he’s not returning phone calls to anyone. I really don’t know how to proceed with anything at this point. Wondering if he just blew all our money on his personal issues and doesn’t have the cash to actually order the parts.
while i may give off that impression, i’m really not that patient at all. i just don’t know what else i can do. i gave up calling him about a week or so ago because he has never returned any of my calls.
maybe we can talk to Wiz about doing something like this:
Do like they do over at neo-geo.com and post up his personal info. It’s public from his paypal. They have a great system over there about people scamming and not letting them get away with it. I got ripped off on a stick I sold when I first joined but said nothing since I was new.
it’s a good idea. if you guys notice alot of the scammers are from overseas or from another country.
another thing i wanted to touch on is you can dispute on paypal within 45 days of the transaction. an option that would protect buyers is that most stick makers will want 6 weeks for the stick to be made, fine give em 6 weeks and tell them that if you dont receive the stick within 44 days, on the 45th day you’ll have to dispute on paypal. also if you pay via Credit Card on paypal it’s easier to dispute and most of the time you will get your money back. If you pay via paypal funds you’re almost guaranteed to get your money jacked and when you win the dispute paypal will just say whoops there was no money in the other guy’s acct even though you won the dispute, sorry.
What else can you try to do at this point?
call your bank and tell them what’s going on and see if they can do something (even better if it was paid via credit card paypal)
call paypal’s live help and see if they can do something
The benefits of paying via Credit Card Paypal:
paypal is just the middleman they dont care if you get your money back or not and they wont go out of their way to get your money back. If you pay via CC your CC company will go out of their way to get your money back EVEN if it takes money from the paypal company itself (this does happen).
