Anywho, I doubt there’s going to be any Disney versus titles or shit like that; at worst I expect some bastardizing of the Marvel license in line with Disney’s catering to the kiddie/tweenie crowd. Something along the lines of a new Wolverine with cheesy one-liners like “brush your teeth, bub” and plastic claws that decimate doucebags without a drop of blood or entrails.
Time Warner, as far as i know, never interfered in DC Comics editorials and politics… and i dont think that Disney will change anything, this is just a “we just want the money” case and i cant imagine Disney trying to change a company that is actually very profitable with his own classic style, they arent that stupid… or at least thats what i want to think.
i take it back, maybe this could be good news for a mvc3 somehow. i have to think harder how. you know, somewhat off topic, they could easily sell a shit load of mvc3 games if they just marketed it in properly. iron man 2 drops next year, and just have mvc3 posters all over the place, with playable demos available too at the theaters, and even see if you can get a 30 second promo video of it before the movie starts. boom, more copies sold than street fighter 4 easy. i think i might make a thread about marketing. i really dont understand how hard it seems for companies to just spend a few bucks doing proper marketing of their product, and easily at least double their profits.
I’m not in a mood to type much, so I’ll just link to this post from the GD thread pointing out that Disney isn’t all watered down kiddie glurge. Marvel will be fine.
if Disney was smart, now would be the perfect time to let Capcom produce another vs game. They could even flood their arcades at Disney World with the games etc…
I’m waiting for Disney vs Marvel next. Been wanting to kick Hannah Montana and Zac Efron’s ass for ages.
Oh, ah Winnie the Poo could get a super move called Honey Trap.
