I am trying to add my new Custom Artwork and Plexi-cover I got from Arthong on my HRAP1 stick.
The quick disconnects are secured VERY VERY tightly. Rather then trying to risk snapping a wire by accident, Instead I want to remove the housing that attaches the microswitch to the button and then pop the Snap-in button out of the plastic case.
I see plastic tabs on the side of the button but this seems to just pop the plunger up so I can mix and match button colors.
How do I remove the actual microswitch from the button itself?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You need to remove the plunger and then get at the tabs from the inside to slide out the switch. The switch cannot disconnect from the bottom.
Basically, you have to remove the quick disconnects.
Note: QD are always very tight. I wouldn’t be too worried about damaging the button.
are you leaving the stock hori buttons in there, or does yours have Sanwa?
Have your QDs ever come off before? If so, it’s easy after the first time to get them to come off… and honestly, a few may be stubborn, but all in all it’s not too hard to get them off the first time…
I just think it’ll be way more work to pull each button apart…
Just get a small flat head screwdriver under the QD and lift it off from underneath.
This was actually a modded HRAP1 I bought off another member here.
all the buttons on it are Sanwa, I bought it as is without the original Hori parts.
do you guys know how to remove the pushinpart of the button itself?
