I play this match almost every week, and Oro can own the hell out of Akuma with 2 connected RH’s and a throw and its stun time. I randomly jump straight up at times to mess up demon throw timming. I’m learning to watch how and were I throw sphere’s.
A wrong timmed sphere can = Akuma SA1 at to close of range, and a demon throw. C.rh is good also to stuff Akuma that rh like mad. Bait a low parry and close mk to command throw is murder to akuma.
My game plan revolved making the akuma actually think instead of a rush down. When akuma has to think, he usually loses because there is no rush down. I’d like to see what people do on wake-up. I usually stay out of throw range and c.rh or rarely go for s.hp. Or standing j and dash back.

Yeah, abuse Oro’s shortness, and his easy yagyou unblockable (on any shoto)… which is chicken combo twice, s.mp (1hit) xx MP yagyou; dash twice and immediately jump straight up, double jump forward, and crossover with mk.
…It’s not always easy to land the first s.mp on akuma though.
Never EVER use Yagyou on Akuma, because he can teleport out of unblockables for free. He can teleport out of Tengu pressure too, but at least you still have time to chase him down – not to mention EX Tengu combos.
Also note that Akuma is the only shoto in the game that Oro can cross up normally in the corner. Ryu, Ken, and Sean can only be crossed up in the corner after Oro backthrows them.
The two most frequent players at my arcade are a pretty good oro and a pretty good akuma.
The oro player had his tengu juggles down so sick, that the akuma player would blow a super just trying to buy time or keep him away.
Ages ago (before I could really play 3s) I fought against pretty experienced akuma user in a comp and for some reason he switched to his secondary character Ryu (to fight my oro). He said he was so wary of the tengu combo doing hella damage that he’d rather use a different character. I have no Idea if this tips the match up in oro’s favour but akuma low defence and stun is something to be aware of in this match. Like someone else said, a few st. roundhouse’ and you’ve got him stunned.
Akuma has some tools to beat Oro, particularly his hitconfirms and high damage. In my opinion, Akuma either wins quickly or loses quickly. Oro needs to keep his composure and frustrate the Akuma player into rushing in blindly. That’s when Mr. Spiky Hair takes a couple Roundhouses to the face or leaves himself open to anything from a 40% command grab combo to a 70% EX Tengu juggle.
Akuma loses this matchup if he doesn’t play it right. I’ve gone against some smart akumas who know when to fight and when to run and run correctly. Akuma technically has the zoning advantage, and if the akuma player lets you come to them, this match can become frustrating fast.
some time oro players might lose terribely if did not defend akuma’s quick offence carefully .

that already cost 30% damage on alex , imagine on oro :wasted:
