If you run away then yea they can spam projectiles for the max of 2 times. Anything more and I’ll sidestep that shit dash over and smack them 2 in 1 into a special move or super! Some characters are good at running away, but most of the characters are just as good if not better at rushdown in rbs. Even my turtling ass like to rushdown in rbs!
I’ve only seen that guy play rbs once against drn and he getting beat on because he was playing rbs like it was rb2. You have played rbs more than he has and you hate the game. :lol: your opinion in this debate weighs more to me than some guy with a serious ego problem by calling himself god. :wtf:

He was nerfed in rb2, but not as bad as other characters. Why do I think rb2 kim would be worthless in rbs? Because the rb2 tung is the NERFED version of ex tung in rbs and he is thought to be the worst character in rbs. Why in the hell would you model your characters in rb2 from the worst version of tung in rbs? Not only did you make rb2 tung from the so called worst character in rbs, but he is a NERFED version of ex tung! Wtf is that bs? Rbs mai is soo much better than rb2 mai its not funny sir. My friend said that 10 years ago, when RB2 was so new. He was an amazing player in RBS so when he saw RB2 Kim, he said that.
I can’t explain all my stuff about different versions of characters, you know, that about “Mai RBS is better than RB2”, for example. I have another point of view, so we’ll never reach and agreement.
There’s too much talk about RBS level. Unfortunately, my best years in RBS have gone, so I have nothing to do than to start to recover myself on it. Maybe you will hate me like some people do in RB2 =) (jk)

I just noticed what you said. It sounds like you think your better than drn in rb2. I know you stated that you think GP is better than drn and that’s your opinion based off of vids you have seen them play against each other. But it seem like you implied that you are better than drn with that 1st statement about you underestimated me because drn practice with me because you thought I was going to play like drn. So are you trying to say I would have been FREE if I played like drn? Maybe you 2 need to play OFFline to settle this with a friendly wage! I’m sure DRN would come up to a NC gamefrog tournament to play you in rb2 for ft10 for $100 no macros. Not saying that you use or need macros just setting rules like the justin wong vs magman mvc1 offline MM. Maybe I was reading too much into what you said at 1st, but it did sound like an underhanded slap to DRN playing skills.
Here’s something really cool actually.
After any knockdown that gives you time to move around, you can set up an ambiguous crossup game!
What I mean is that after landing such a knockdown move, you can line shift and mix them up. Right as they wake up, you can either walk forward a little bit then C to hit them in front, or dash forward quickly then C to land it as a crossup.
This is still in RB2, though not nearly as common. Krauser is the main one who uses it in that game: Perform hcf+A grab -> f,f+C -> dp+C, then line shift and do the background C from either side.
But yep, something definitely worth remembering with everyone in RBS!

I won’t hit Gamefrog tournies anymore- they’re run too crappily. As for RB2 moneymatches, I’d have to play the PS2 version offline for a bit to get used to PS2 controls, but once I did- I’d be set. Got nothing personal on you, but as you said, I didn’t think you were that good originally- but in your element you are.
I’ll say this- online, I think I’m better- but that doesn’t mean DRN is necessarily a bad player. There are some people who can beat me consistently in RB2- Ghosty, KRoyal from Mexico, Yor, maybe Josh. I don’t think DRN can do it consistently on me. Offline might be another story, but I have no PS2, and honestly, no local knows the game anyway- so wouldn’t do me any good.
Never done a MM before, but I would in this case.
No macros is fine by me.
Oh, Cheng can do an ambiguous crossup as well on knockdowns if the opponent goes into the backplane to recover.
Yea, everyone can do and abuse that tactic in rbs. The bad thing for krauser is his special grabs have less range in rbs so that’s a hard setup for him. That strat is really good with the quick characters. Tung, chonshu, duck king, and chonrei. The only bad thing about that strat is if someone quick recover roll on knockdown. Since you can do special moves and whole combo chains in RBS in the opposite plane if you try that when they have super meter you could lose a bar of life off 1 combo without a super! Also don’t do that against characters that have special grab supers in RBS unless their meter is low. Yama, duck king, and krauser can quick recover roll and super you as you come out of the plane shift since you can do special and supers in the opposite plane.

Yes you can, but if I don’t try the sidestep and you quick recover roll I can combo you sir. That’s why the mix up josh talked about is so good if you know how your foes plays. I need to do that more with tung. That shit turns turtles into turtle soup!
I forget about using that mixup with regular tung. He is better at using it than EX tung do to his low chain combos knockdown, thus setting the crossup plane game perfectly. Thanks for reminding me josh ;wink: I have a new project to work on 2df. I’ve been playing too much ex tung lately. Time to get back to my roots!

you obviously have no fucking clue wtf your talking bout. the point being made was RB2 IS the better game and the more tournament worthy game between the 3 RB games. people are defending RBS (no RB1?) cause some made it seem like it was a bad game or just not that good, which it obviously is. its almost as good as RB2, just not quite. same way RB1 is almost as good as RB2, but just not quite.

Yeah this is true too…but if I go in knowing someone doesnt know RBS well I will use recovery roll against them just to see what they do!! So yeah I adjust to the level of my opponent…if they are gonna abuse crossups like what Josh said yeah with Mai as you put it point and simple they are going to lose a bar of life…no ands ifs buts about it. But yeah if someone is using “Intelligent Line Shifting” (which to me this is part of) then yeah I gotta NOT do that and try to jump on wakeup OR do Mai’s meaty wakeup move so you can’t try to LS crossup me etc…(since my wakeup move doesnt require inputs you can cross me up or not doesnt matter its still coming out!!)
Well everyone has an opinion…as IMO as long as people respect others opinions without shitting on another game its fine…people can not like a game or find it boring but dont completely shit on the game calling it “gimmicky” or other shit like that…that’s the type of shit I remember should I play you in a tournament in that game…
