Differences in console versions for Third Strike?

I was thinking about buying a Dreamcast along with that console’s versions of Alpha 3 and Third Strike. However, I’ve heard that DC’s Third Strike version differs more considerably from the arcade version more than the PS2/XBOX versions. Can anyone relate to me the specifics?

Thanks.

fucking asshole

I offended somehow…?

The DC version of 3S has really different timing on a lot stuff. Parry timing is pretty much completely different and things that work in the Arcade and Ps3 version don’t work in the DC version and vice verse. It’s pretty much just a completely different game and not really 3S.

Alpha 3 is pretty different to but I dunno the details on that.

Thanks, after looking on Amazon I’ve determined it would make much more sense to buy the Street Fighter Anniversery and Alpha Collections for the PS2 we already have rather than a new system with two poorly translated ports.

Dreamcast is only really worth it these days for Marvel, otherwise PS2 and modern consoles for just about everything.

I know timings are different and unblockables are removed from the DC version.

for alpha3 (ps2) everything is the same,
but for the extra game (forgot what its called but you unlock it, and get new characters and stuff)
they took out otg’s, and changed the glitch where you were left open for a small frame of time when you teched from an attack, which makes it harder to do setups for crouch cancels for certain characters (like sakura), but its still possible, along with unblockables

Alpha 3 on DC has changed hitboxes, due to the spirtes being larger than the original game. which makes it s totally different beast.

one version sucks, and the other version you can play at the arcade and it sucks also

SFA for xbox works fine on Xbox 360 aswell if you have that.
