So…am I the only one who thinks Jill has the best alpha counter in the game?

Flip kick alpha counter. It’s safe and if it hits you can do an easy 5-7k solo and DHC trick from there if your team is built for it.
And if ANYONE has any this on getting in with Jill help me out. People like Doom/Dante seem to be bad matches for her. ANyone who can keep her out shits all over her.
I use Jill/VJ/Mags if that helps.
considering your other characters, it doesnt sound like you have a great assist to help you get in…if you manage to get disruptah to hit, you can get in for free, but otherwise, good luck. Im assuming you use shocking pink with VJ ? voomerang may help you to get in a litte bit better…idk, see what works best.
That is the problem with jill. She needs both an OTG and a “help me get in there” assist. Plus the real reason you are wanting the otg is for ravenspike into dhc trick. As much as I loved having tron for the 1.2m combo I could pull off I have decided to go back to my original team of chun/ironman/wesker. And just replace Chun with jill. Ironman may not be top tier but I manage to do decent with him. And he has been my favorite super hero since I was like 6.
I was actually talking about this exact same thing with another jill player recently. He has she hulks otg instead of weskers. He has to time his combos differently but because she slides so far he uses her to for all 3 purposes. She can help you get in, set up unblockables, otgs, and dhc tricks. I can play she hulk but id have to relearn all my jill combo timing. As her otg really is slow.
please abolish this myth that she needs an OTG assist, it isn’t true. Either I hit you for 600k+ or I DHC glitch you and you die it is really that simple. I’ve also gotten used to getting in without an assist, you’d be surprised at how much a lot of jumping and sliding does to get you in, or you can just do the lazy approach and super it.

If Jill needs any kind of assist, its definitely an assist to get in…and there are even ways to work around that…depending on who the opponents characters are.
Yeah, Jill does buff ass damage off most situations by her self, assists just help her build more meter/damage for DHC glitch setups. Any hit is a guaranteed meter or more and at least 500k from Jill. I’ve never had a combo do less than that…
an otg lets you do the most damaging combos possible with jill and then link them into the dhc trick. I suppose that is just theory crafting however and being able to throw out 1.2 million damage isn’t really necessary as most the time 900k will kill the entire cast as when you get the chance for these moves you rarely have the person still at full health.
Perhaps I need to just take my jill into training and start working on raven spike combos that don’t require an otg. What moves/combos are you guys linking into it for your dhc trick?
The Pulsr loop ends with Raven Spike and does good damage. Most of my Jill combos go into some variation of this combo. Either that or juggle them with the juggle loop
Dude PLEASE tell me how to get ur 1 million dhc glitch combo midscreen… ive been practicing HOURS now and i cant get it… on the corner i have no problems but midscreen i just cant get the last sj.m sj.m sj.h sj.s to connect UNLESS i jump straight up and not forward (im talking about the last launch afer the summersault jc j.h j.s h s) The problem is, IF I JUMP STRAIGHT UP then when i land im not in range for wesker to hit with his assist and if i dash up then its too late… could u give me some tips on landing this midscreen or show me a video?

DHC glitch into sent anywhere on the screen…gives me enough damage to kill any character (including thor), as long as i have 3 meters total

the sent drones will hit twice, just link to s.S> whatever.
I thought this was common knowledge…I do this on the regular…
I actually wait when I DHC into drones so that they get hit by all 9 of them. After that a basic launch combo will kill anyone

Quickly, whats KJL stand for?
It’s Jill’s ‘jump loop’. When you are near an opponent you can jump and IMMEDIATELY press M,M,H,S (or L,M,M,H,S) which is her jump loop. The small jump loop is just M,H,S I believe. You can also do these after her somersault for good meter/damage, but you have to vary the timing depending on size and air height
e.g
M,H xx feral H (somersault), j.M, (delay in air) H, j.M, M, H, S…etc.

As much as I love drones I’m starting to think Sent bombs are better for Jill. They cover the ground great and actually add to her mixup because all the explosions make her harder to see. They also OTG but you can’t combo off of them
Hey guys I just started using jill so any tips would be appreciated. Im still trying to get a hang of her combos cuz they’re a bit harder than what im used to, i think that the one il be sticking with atm is LMH xx feral H, J.HS, st. H, b.H xx Cartwheel Kick, Feral H xx Hyper
That’s about the most damaging combo that i can do atm without constantly screwing it up, i know that you can get another J.HS in after the second somersault kick but i mess it up a lot because of the hitstun decay. Im still not 100% sure what my team will be but most likely its going to be Jill/Thor/Doom.
I’ve been messing around with jill for the last two days or so. I recorded two videos of the combos I use most of the time. If they’ve already been posted or they’re of no use I apologize. They should work anywhere on the screen. The lower damage one leaves you in feral for a good portion of the combo so if you mess up often times you’ll be able to teleport behind them.
