Then hire voice actor
Record sound queues
make sound effects for the moves
color map five more colors
Then balance and playtest against the rest of the cast
Then decide which assists th character has
Also record game start intro and game winning animation
Then they need that one guy to think up smartass win quotes for every other character
Multiply that by th number of characters to be added into the game. Idiot.
By the time all that work was done they might as well have just made a new darkstalkers.
Honestly, I bought Resurrection in hopes that Capcom would make a new DS and eventually run out of other franchises to revive, toil around with different systems, then make a CVS3.
Anyone asking a company why they aren’t selling a franchise/trademark/whatever, when that company isn’t going bankrupt, is stupid.
Unfortunately it doesn’t tell us anything about the state of a franchise, it only tells us, that the person asking the question is an idiot.
I didn’t buy ressuection because I already have so many fighting games and to be honest I have never played the series properly and it just didn’t appeal to me like other fighters did.
I bought Darkstalkers Resurrection because at the time I was having some problems with GGPO on my computer. Plus it’s more convenient to have it on a console so I can bring it to local gatherings and such. I could care less about buying it to support a Darkstalkers 4 or whatever Ono is doing with the Darkstalkers franchise.
Downloaded the demo since it was Darkstalkers, and I’ve heard that is used to be something so I thought why not. Haven’t thought about it after the first play session. Call me ignorant or whatever lol.
My paraphrasing was terrible, he actually did say, they still make money with the franchise.

These were his exact words. Which is what I said, recently. The series has potential to be a hit. It would be crazy to just leave it (from a strategic standpoint). Although I hope they do, but I can’t see it happenin’ with SF bein’ on a bit of a slowdown.
