Did someone say ghetto vids?

heres one of my matches from the tourney i entered. warning, this is real bush league. i didnt play as good in this match as i did the other one against this opponent but hell, i won :stuck_out_tongue: plus its pretty obvious my teching needs serious work :stuck_out_tongue:

heres the other part to the semi final match (it was two out of three.)

you really know when to pull out that super

stupidlikeafox, i have to congradulate u for actually using sean in a tourneyā€¦i remember the one i did way back whenā€¦good times. I will be using him in the next Season Beatings tourney, and in the NC tourney in Feb.

the only thing i can say is to try and get away from wakeup supers, ppl might actually start baiting u to do it, and hit confirm (which looking at some of the times, it didnt look necessary, lol) Other than tht, you outplayed the Remy. I hate Remy, so when I see him lose, I feel better inside, lol.

and about teching, itā€™s rly something uā€™ll get thru practiceā€¦

yeah, the wake up supersā€¦ :stuck_out_tongue: generally i look for them to pull a move out, and am pretty fast at responding, but youre definitely right on that front. what are the better tactics on seans wake up?

aaand, another of my fights from the tourney.

no love for robocop

Lol @ double lp rollā€¦funny.

Um, as far as what to do on Seanā€™s wakeup, I usually parry punish, or blockā€¦if i see a throw coming, jump or reversal rollā€¦sometimes, itā€™s rare, but I might do a ex dp, usually if I see someone attacking and I wanna respondā€¦I try not to use the super on wakeup so I dont get caught in a bait attempt, and to see if I can use meter another way. I remember doing that alot when I first started, and the more I played, the more I saw other things to do and it went awayā€¦keep up with the Sean!!! I know I will. :3

lol it was my secret mission in the tourney to try and do a double roll throw, too bad the q guy tried to throw too :frowning: i dont like the ex dp on wake up personally as i find it a little slow. will play around with wake up rolls though

on your free time when ur bored on the pc, play some of those reaction test games, it helps my sean.

I dont like ex dragon smash either, hence why i dont use it like i used to. Itā€™s very rare that i use itā€¦like once in a blue moon (like once every month or 2, true story), but even then i think thatā€™s too much at timesā€¦blocking or parry, punish works 4 me. i remember when some ryu used denjin, i wokeup reversal rolled for the first time, i got HYPEā€™D, lol.

wakeup revearsal roll on qā€™s big ass punch is always niceā€¦

finally got my computer back up and runningā€¦so howā€™s things Sean players? also, lol on the roll idea. after all itā€™s one of his best moves, u just gotta know how to use it

youre right there, the rollā€™s a great move. if anything i use it a bit too much though.

itā€™s coolā€¦i think i posted some times when i used the rollā€¦but there are more instances I used it since then, and itā€™s just simple mixups and tactics. I might post some more stuff like that again.

Your Sean wasnā€™t that bad, but you got really predictable. You should switch it up a bit more. For example, I know that when you jump in, youā€™re going to use a roundhouse then go to a Universal Overhead. Try comboing jump-in fierce to standing close fierce to tornado kick (Start up on HK is too great, LK, MK, and EX are OK), or jump-in fierce to strong-roundhouse chain. If you think youā€™ll be blocked, even the headbutt is better than UOH if youā€™re going for that after a jump-in. Speaking of jumping, you do it a bitā€¦ much. Also, the crouching forward kick into heel drop becomes parry bait after a couple of uses, so you shouldnā€™t rely on it so much. Finally, Iā€™d try to get away from over-using wake-up supers in a hurry.

Keep in mind that I donā€™t mean this in a disrespectful, ā€œMy Sean is better than yours,ā€ kind of way, Iā€™m just trying to provide some constructive criticism for better play. If I had videos of my Sean online, Iā€™d appreciate the same thing. I also know that itā€™s easy to say these things in retrospect, but applying it to gameplay and thinking of it on the spot is a lot harder than it sounds, so I can sympathize.

I donā€™t want to end on a negative note, so I will say that I liked the basketball on wake up, dash forward, light punch roll, and Iā€™m looking forward to playing around with that a bit.

yup  i a) did that way too much (got used to it when doing well against remy lol
b)jumped WAY too much. trust me i usually dont, unless it might be following a basketball.
c)did way too many axe kicks. worked on a crouching remy, but usually i opt for way too many rolls :stuck_out_tongue:

i usually use the c.mk way more effectively than seen there, lead it to axe kicks, qcb+lk->lp+lk SAII, etc. in all honesty i didnt play particularly well for most of the tourny and thats why i ended up second lol!

now, wakeup superā€¦ cant agree with you there. 9.5/10 times i will land the super from that position, as im looking for a move before i bust it out. as soon as i get a sniffā€¦ BHAM! i actually miss the super more when hit-confirming as my worst habit of the whole game is to use a super after one of my moves has been blocked. i know, im working on that lol.

but thanks for your feedback, its duly noted for sure. trust me, ive moved on to different predictable tactics now :stuck_out_tongue:
