Anybody have any dante or spiderman matchup tips? They’re the only two matchups I’m really unsure about going into tomorrow.

against dant,just grab and maul.

Your videos really don’t prove anything regarding the Bolo Glitch, unfortunately, Wedge. I’m not sure you understand the kind of elementary “proof” that most people expect, to consider a subject settled/not still questionable. Proof they have good reason to expect, considering this is Marvel, and silly things like the Nova(/but actually just about everyone) Combo Counter Glitch exist.

That video does not prove that the player you were playing was holding back/blocking, much like the Arcade Mode video didn’t really prove anything at all(Capcom CPUs are notoriously glitchy anyway? Walk Forward Sonic Booms? Sweep xx Walk Forward in X-men vs Street Fighter? Input Recordings causing crouch-freezes in SF4? Et cetera).

The GOOD news is, I did actually test it all out, and record it. In training mode from a P1 and P2 record angle(to show Damage Counter and Input Display Block Attempts, respectively), and from a Versus Mode Holding Back perspective, and the glitch is, in fact, solid and usable.

I’m certainly no Wade expert, but I put it together and put it on my channel, to provide more definitive evidence that the glitch is, at the least, not escapable/blockable by any ordinary means when performed correctly.

Hope it puts an end to it, so people will stop giving you grief about it. :slight_smile:

haha, i’ve already hit it enough times vs competent players in match to know that it’s real

folks can claim whatever they want, idk if there really was evidence needed because all you need to do is put a foot in their ass with it to let them know it’s real enough

if you just keep doing it, it will become obvious to folks not really in the know that it’s real because at some point it’s gotta click that every single player couldn’t possibly not be holding back

Did we just get someone trying to claim we weren’t proving anything after we do it all the time. We didn’t need to be proved it worked when we do it to others and we already knew and were confident it worked.
I mean good on you if you want to try and convince others, but I never really had anyone question after the first month whether or not it worked.

Yeah, I am terrible at it and I admit it works. With the Vergil DHC I don’t need it, though :3

The correct way to “prove it” is to put it in matches, because the biggest argument against is/was that it’s a training room glitch. But we’re all on the same side here, so kudos all around, yeah?

Is there any way to remap the taunt button on a stick? It feels mighty awkward to try and reach for the side of the stick to get a taunt in a combo (trying to learn the Vergil damage reset glitch combo)
Don’t feel like switching to pad just to do a single combo lol

Umm I play pad but I know Javibaby got his stick reprogrammed/modified to put taunt button on the face instead of the side.

hoooly shit deadpool/nova/strider is a real as hell team

just the way that team controls space on the screen combined with deadpool’s unscaling (which i was messing up a whole lot due to not training moding it up) it is just a ridiculously comprehensive team in coverage

deadpool having the ability to quad jump and then call strider is pretty crazy, as is layering mixups with vajra- just doing raw as hell quick works with vajra covering you is hilarious and crazy

and if you’re in trouble, just blasting off with nova into strider hilarity is great, alongside meaty setups into unblockables with nova’s idiotic airdash h and quick work assist’s giant range

once i get time im gonna lab it up hard with dp/strider to figure out some way to unscale with that

Hows the damage for Nova on point? I figured it’d be kind of lower than most nova teams

it sucks. like, alot. off a raw hit you only get around 800-900k for 2 bars with deadpool alive and strider unused. with strider used you can bump that down to in the 700-850k range for 2 bars.

but there’s ways to time quick work + airdash h to cover techs so you just unblockable them on their wakeup. and strider-layered resets off the baby nova reset with launch->javelin are still pretty effective- generally resetting them to get way more meter ends up being super effective because it means you can just not actually play the game vs them when their second and third chars come in because you’ll be doing the super+strider gimmick until they are dead. you can also do meaty setups on their incoming that can somewhat force unblockables, though it’s variant based on pushblock timing so you have to be pretty aware of if they’re going to pushblock or not or else you get an airthrow/get airthrown.

in general you are going to be doing terrible damage unless you xf (you should definitely xf if you only have nova/strider left because your goal is to kill them asap and start speed tackling all over like a huge moron while strider kicks them in the head)

off his airthrows you can get 950k-ish by raw tagging deadpool and unscaling but it’s annoying and i haven’t really practiced it alot yet.

Yeah, that was my assumption when I was messing around with nova/Deadpool/Hawkeye. With deadpool on point you get really good damage, but not so much the other way around.
Would it be possible to do a Nova combo DHC into QW and continue the combo into the glitch?

uhhhhh hmmm!! holy shit i didn’t think about that. i thiiiink that might work? but you’d need to find a way to preserve your ground bounce and maybe wallbounce for it and it’d probably be a weirder glitch combo (probably like immediate bolo off launch or call assist far ahead of taunt->bolo) but i got a feeling it probably works

Well maybe not with a strider team, but maybe with a beam assist or ammy. I was able to do a combo with strange bolts assist to get 1 bar and dhc, but couldn’t get the unscale though.

The future of Deadpool’s zoning meta lies in pineapple usage. That is all.

Okay, so I’m looking for a little clarification on the Bolo glitch that hopefully one of you Deadpool experts will be able to help me out with. I’ve been under the impression that as long as an opponent falls into an assist mid combo while in the Bolo, the glitch is activated. However, I’ve been in training mode and have been unable to replicate the combo that uses Drones. I end the combo with Call Drones -> Launcher -> j.H. -> Bolo and character falls into Drones but they are scaled normally. Why is this? Do I have to set the dummy to something in particular or is there some specific timing I’m unaware of. I’ve also done the combo with Nova’s Gavimetric Pulse using Pulse in the exact same way as Drones but still it is scaled. I end combo with Launcher (call Nova simultaneously) -> j.H -> Bolo -> character falls on Gav. Pulse, but it is once again scaled. I’m confused…
