Did Someone Say Chimichanga? - Deadpool Thread Reloaded!

In a basic combo like LMHS > air M M H S > H katanarama-chimichangas, Happy Happy Trigger does more damage than Cuttin’ Time without mashing. Give me a reason why I should use CT instead?

scale less in case of DHC.

CT sets up some DHCs HHT doesn’t (as CT puts them right over you), and it being a cinematic super makes it good for certain corner cases.

It also recovers fast enough to be a safe DHC on whiff in alot of situations.

Time the chimichanga after quickwork as if you were going to dash in for a crouching M after it. It’s that timing, just press H.

HTT also wastes a lot of shots on small characters or vs weird hitboxes in the corner.

Btw, I’ve been trying to go for j.H Bolo when I (down) TAC to Deadpool, but I can never get QuickWork H to land. I tried going for M instead, but relaunching after that is really hard (online), as the spacing after a TAC won’t allow you to be at max range. Is there any way to get this consistently? Deadpool has pretty terrible damage without both bounces. Going for the simple [j.H Bolo, land, Quickwork M, Hyper] works, but HTT does pitiful damage in that spot vs small characters.

relaunching after quickwork M is simple

mash S.

It work, really.

It does not for a bolo relaunch. But then I realized that it doesn’t really matter, because you can teleport cancel the Quick Work.

Deadpool is usually the last person on my team left alive and during that time I tend to play more smarter and perform better. However, even with attempts to snap Wesker in early and kill him quickly, I know I will undoubtedly face a situation where I have to face a Lv4 XF Wesker 1-on-1 with Deadpool.

In terms of damage, I know Wesker has the upper hand and I try to play to Deadpool strengths and Wesker’s weakness like zoning him out. What are other options Deadpool has in this matchup?

Deadpool isn’t a great character to have last; however, if you can combo into M or H quickwork while in xfactor, you can infinite him until your xfactor runs out. Just start a combo into a quickwork, then xfactor and keep quickworking until he’s dead.
If you can’t land a solid close-range hit, zoning him is your best option. Don’t use ninja gifts too much if deadpool is alone with no assists to cover him, but use more falling j.QCF+L/M and grounded QCF+Ls. Cancel any grounded projectile hits into teleports and try to mixup off of them, or just use a hyper off of confirming with the QCF+L.

If wesker is derping H teleport you can bolo his ass for full combo. if not well…chicken block and jA into combo can work if Wesker want to cL or cM you.

Also surprise slide is somewhat effective.

Counter hyper like a boss.

Also, with the chimis after Quick-Work, I was doing this one quick work loop where I use st.H after the first couple QW’s. Now, when I try this particular loop…I can’t NOT get the chimis to come out. I then found myself trying to get the timing of the chimis for the opposite reason as you guys…I don’t want the damn things to come out! It was kind of pissing me off the other day, because I was on my way to getting a nice damage loop while conserving my wall AND ground bouce. Basically, the only time I can get chimi after QW with consistency and without mashing is when I’m trying not to. I guess I could try some teleport stuff after QW, but I would like some more info on this. I don’t have the New Testament yet, so if anybody does maybe they could help drop some knowledge on us.

Helloooo one and all

my original vanilla team was deadpool/hulk/wesker. now for obvious reasons ive kept wesker as the anchor and i love the way how hulk and deadpool work together in this game. however my main problem is that if i have wesker and hulk left, im kinda hurting. my question is that is there anyone that works well with both deadpool and wesker and wont suffer if their the last one left?

Any good projectile assist character work well with deadpool and wesker (deadpool to help with zoning) and wesker to do safe TP mixups (same for deadpool actually).

Task, doom, Hawkeye, Strange, Sentinel from the top of my head ^^".

You could switch Deadpool to Quickwork assist, put him second, and use it to enhance Hulk’s jumping pressure. It’s actually really hard to block Hulk’s giant fist while there’s a ninja slicing at your feet. Then you have Deadpool with Wesker left, a team that arguably has no bad matchups.

Wait, what?

Aside from the broken stuff like Dark Phoenix, what situation is hopeless for these two? They deal with a lot of each other’s problems.
I guess ‘terrible’ should replace bad, depending on your level of pessimism, but this is the Deadpool thread, who are we to argue about what he can or cannot do?

The broken stuff is something that we have to deal with too… not that dealing with Dark Phoenix is easy with any team. I agree that Deadpool and Wesker don’t have many overlapping bad matchups but there are some that are pretty terrible (Ammy, Mags, Nova, Zero, Viper, etc.). The biggest problem I see with that duo is that they don’t compliment each other that well. Deadpool doesn’t really need an OTG assist and neither does Wesker. I guess you could use QW for unblockables and combo extensions but then you’d be stuck with Deadpool as anchor which really isn’t ideal.

And this being the Deadpool thread, we are exactly the ones who should be arguing what he can or cannot do.

On a other note.

What blockstring do you use with deadpool?

I usually end cH cancel into ninja gift L and havent been punished for it…but i dont have the new testament yet…and i got the feeling it’s punishable…

What do you guys use (exept teleport because well…2 times at most then sel Hknockdown :/).

Same thing except I use gift M. I’ve never been punished for it so I don’t know

The Ninja Gifts are safe-ish, but if the opponent jumps over the projectile then you can be easily punished. Most people don’t know that though, and I think it’s pretty spacing dependent anyway.

How are you guys managing your teleports? Do you save them solely for mixups and making things safe, or do you go ahead and use them for combos too? I’ve been using them in combos a lot more latelly, but it never fails that the one time I actually need to teleport, it’s the 3rd one. Foiled again and again and again…
