Dictator Combo Thread: He rules with an Iron Fist...of Energy!

I feel like the chances of a scrub getting a miracle flaming DP on me are the same whether I am going for a throw or a combo, so I might as well go for the damage.

Your setup sounds interesting, I’m gonna mess around with that tommorow…Bison has had nutty corner-specific (as in WHICH corner specific, 1p or 2p) stuff since SF2…

against shoto mashers i literally make them hate using an dp…literally.

This is by far one of the best strats ever, bait them out, and punish. Then they’ll try hadouken spams and by then I’ll have meter so I’ll do EX Scissors right through and then grab, then ppl rage quit and send me hate mail calling me a newb cuz I throw a lot.

Someone needs to compile all these into a single well laid out post. Reading through 5 pages of random combo’s is difficult, and I’m not sure which ones I should be spending my time on. Especially since it seems not all of them really work. It would be really nice if whoever started the thread could do it in the first post.

*c = crouching
s = standing
xx = cancel
l = light – short/jab
m= medium – foward/strong
h = hard – roundhouse/fierce
p = punch
k = kick *

**-c.lk xx scissors

-c.mk xx scissors

-c.lp x 2 -> c.lk xx lk scissors

-c.lp x 2 -> c.mk xx lk scissors

Problem is that dictator’s combos aren’t that damaging in general, while a mashed out ken fierce dp is. Against dp mashers you should stick to basic combos with no gaps in between. Against people mashing sweep, just repeat crouch LK, LK scissors over and over.

Damn how did you manage to do that… The mashers i fight just don’t seem to care and will just keep doing it over and over…even if you dizzy them into level 3 Focus, Ultra, they just don’t give a shit.

I’ve played many Ken’s who I’m pretty sure will never hate using DP.

I beg to differ about his combos doing not much damage, my biggest non-ultra combo does 499 hp right now.

“with no gaps inbetween” is the fucking definition of a combo, I don’t see what the this is supposed to mean. They can’t BREAK a combo, so if you do your combo right it doesn’t matter whether they have a fucking flaming DP.

True dat.

Focus attack xx dash, c lpx2, standing lk, c mk, scissors.

7 hits no meter.

This will also work off a crossup on the larger characters

Yeah, the wording was a little redundant but I assumed he meant just that; using only true combos with easy timing, things that leave absolutely no gaps no matter whether with hitstun or blockstun, as opposed to just strings that aren’t airtight or difficult links or other execution barriers that you’re not 100% comfortable/consistent with.

FA xx DC -> c.lp -> s.lp -> s.lk -> c.mk xx scissors

I guess it’s preference but this one does slightly more damage (1% I think) than the one you listed.

I prefer my way because you can mash the first two lp to see what your options are. :wgrin:

isn’t Fierce > PC more dag?
im sure it is…
why not just use that?

watch how they react. Most Uppercut happy muthafuccaz tend to do it right after you initiate the first hit… BLOCK… perform your bread an butter COMBO (no gaps as airthrow an DS have stated) or the good ol Koops going to teach you a lesson in doing that shyt the good ol across the screen toss… dash over bait with lp… block wakeup uppercut FTW… toss they ass again… perform a fine crossup mk into favorite combo but STOP (cause they are still mashing) block uppercut… toss they ass… taunt an rinse an repeat

I do this to them just for the fact to show how DUMB THEY ARE. in fact i take it to another level by taunting an make sure i pick the win quote where he floats an says your garbage. i like getting into the mind of my opponent… not only to think about his gameplay but to fuccin throw em off. Beat their ass one round by baitin them out of everything they do… 20 say the next round they are going to jump back an try the old Hyper Fighting Fireball into uppercut into back jump kick scenario… then i just kick em in the face… fuccin shotos.

Anyone else been doing j.mk > c.lk x4 > lk.scissors? I am loving that right now as my crossup combo of choice.

K I was testing out Fadc knee presses and continuing the string with C.Sk and C.Jp. I seemed to have more luck with C.Sk (I’ll check the frame date in a sec here). The damage seemed really weak, especially since I’m only doing the first hit of the knee press. Building meter and pushing them into the corner seemed worth it though. After all, the corner is shadowloo headquarters lol.

So it would be something like this.

C.Jp - S.Jp - C.Fk xx Rh Knee Press xx Fadc - C.Sk - C.Sk - C.Sk. - C.Sk xx Knee Press.

Or

C.Jp - S.Jp - C.Fk xx Rh Knee Press xx Fadc - C.Jp - S.Jp - C.Fk xx Rh Knee Press.

Ofcourse you could continue the string one more time taking all 4 stocks of your bar. I forgot the stun, I’m pretty sure it would dizzy easily but I have to get home from work to give better info.

Is cr. jab, st. jab, cr. forward xx scissors an easier link than cr. jab x 2, cr. forward xx scissors? I see most Bison players on Youtube use the former as opposed to the latter in most tournament matches, does it do more damages or is the timing more lenient?

They’re both easy combos, it’s just that st.jab looks flashier.

Also, you guys should start doing s.short x2 s.roundhouse.

I think s.lp to c.mk is a 2 frame link, where as c.lp to c.mk is a one frame. At least that is the difference between Guiles c.lp to cmp, and s.lp to c.mp. Going from standing to crouching, seems easier for me to hit consistantly.

Also that s.lk x2, s.hk, can you cancel the Roudhouse into a SK? I’ve been using s.lk to s.hk in my zoning game and when I don’t have a charge.

Roundhouse cannot be canceled into a special.
