Well, I joined a few “free drop” games, and managed to get 4 out of 5 of my trang oul’s set back along with some other nice things, so I’ve been playing on non-ladder. I can really care less for ladder only rune words to be perfectly honest.

You guys haven’t even mentioned one of the very best parts of the patch yet…
Windowed mode can now scale resolutions, and they added proper windows min/max buttons to the window so it won’t minimize if you click out of it (VERY big deal when playing hardcore it turns out).
The graphics might not be very good but the game’s still pretty awesome to play windowed out to my 30 inch monitor

With the patch I wonder how well a Corpse Explosion build would work again… that was my first character and it was virtually unstoppable until they nerfed the shit out of it :(… Maybe ill try it out for kicks.
Trang’s is garbage, there are rares that are better. Also you can care less? Glad to see you care then :tup:
I really wouldn’t recommend it until you get a couple staple builds first then do this for kicks, Corpse Explosion does a lot of damage but you still need that first kill, and after that first kill you have to hope it’s by others for the chain effect. Meanwhile a hammerdin will have the whole Chaos finished.
I like full Trang’s because it turns you into that Ghoul Lord, and basically gives you infinite stamina. To me it’s just fun running around looking like that. I’m not trying to get all the lolubereliteitems. Fine. I don’t give a SHIT about ladder only rune words. Is that better?
Do they still have the Pindlebots and shit like there where people just run them all night long and wake up to 50 SOJs and crap? Ladder won’t be any fun if people can still bot the shit out of it.
yea last season i had a bot that did pindle, meph, diablo, baal, pits and countess

Yeah it’s pretty ridiculous, usually after a ladder reset you won’t see them for a week or so though since no one will be geared enough to be able to bot.

In Hardcore Ladder, are the drops better than regular Hardcore? Is there any reason to play HC Ladder other than for the challenge?

I never really minded the whole “botting” thing. To be honest, there’s no real endgame to Diablo II other than just MFing all day and PvP. I dont think Blizzard ever realized just how much and how long people would be playing diablo II for. At least IMO. Man, back in the day, I remember selling my accounts on E-bay for like $200 bucks and shit. then making a new account, doing it all over, and then when school let out, selling that shit again and using that money to fund summer pot-smoking.
