The latest factual information Blizzard released said that they were building a team to work on upcoming possible new games and expansions. I’m not positive, but I believe they also said Diablo Three wouldn’t be released til’ 2009 at the earliest, if it ever gets released at all.
no It’s custom built. My original specification was a monster gaming machine that was reasonably priced but when I quit my job, my monster gaming machine turned into a 300 dollar machine. Computer ended up not being able to play any of the current stuff (much less stuff from 05) and only games I have that run good on it on HD resolution is Half Life 2, Counter-Strike, WOW (with effects down), everything else either doesnt work or has to be ran on 800x600 which is an impossibility b/c its a high-res LCD.
So what does that have to do with Diablo 3 again?

You don’t need 5K to play this game at the highest settings, mainly because Blizzard makes great engines that are very scalable, hell Crysis doesn’t even need that to look good.

AT most you would just need a decent graphics card / processor combo that supported the latest shaders. but you dont need to be Quad Core fucking Extreme with 6 gigs of ram to run blizzard types of games.
I guess most people don’t know that SC2 only uses a modified Warcraft 3 engine.
That’s like having a computer that runs Quake 3 more than perfectly, but dropping another 5 grand to play Medal of Honor: Allied Assault (or some other game on the quake 3 engine).
Ah, damn.

Anyways, what do you guys think about the monsters dropping red orbs for health? That’s going to be weird…watching the gameplay trailer and seeing that reminded me of old-school side scrolling action games for the NES where bad guys would drop hearts or whatever. I don’t remember if they mentioned it but are there still going to be potions at all in the game?
makes the gameplay go faster, dont have to worry about potions you can just leave your hotkeys for skills. plus you know diablo series have those life/mana leech items that were all the rage back then.
remember those sacrifice pallys? where they hit so hard with sacrifice but leech more life than they lose, but if they miss they kill themselves lol
Hmm… Probably soft. Hardcore for a starting guild might be a bit rough.
