Is it now standard to call his yoga fire attack flame? I’m confused…
Nevermind, flame is the correct attack to be used in the combo I was trying out…

quick question about the lk reset after super. Can it only be done from flame xx super (i noticed in the example vid the flame popped akuma up a slight bit) or can it follow any use of the super. I haven’t gotten the bnb->super down yet so i usually get the super by itself or off a IAT HP/dbHP and can’t for the life of me land the lk, even with turbo buttons on
I’m still having a HELLUVA time pulling off the iat, hp, b.mk, flame combo in a match. I think perhaps in the last 50 matches, I got maybe 2 off. What’s weird is that when I first started practicing it, I couldn’t do it very consistently in training…maybe once out of every 3 times, if that. But, in a match, I was actually able to pull it off from time to time. Now, i can do it pretty consistently in training (even cancel into the super pretty well), but for some reason, can’t do it at all in a match.
I am getting pretty good with hit confirming the b.mk before I do the super though. That one is tough. Random block in training is an awesome feature!
I can’t connect ANY of Sims combos? Wtf am I doing wrong? I’ve never had this much trouble with combos.
nvm
With his combos can you not connect any of his regular punches? I had to hold back with my punches to connect into yoga teleport, yoga fire, and yoga flame.
Lag maybe?
When I have a good amount of lag, the Yoga Flame doesn’t come out fast enough. I can do the rest (fire-iat-hp-bmk) just fine, but with some input lag the flame seems to not want to come out.
Or are you talking about local matches?
for the most part in sim’s combos u use the “back” versions of his normals, with a couple exceptions like fierce (off IAT or free hit after fireball), and short slide (back+jab, slide XX super).
After a lot of dissapointment I gave up doing MK+light flame, I do back HP+HP yoga fire now, way easier to pull off and can still be cancelled into Super
Agree, but at the same time you need to be closer to get that. Back MK gives more room to work with.
How the hell do you instant teleport? By instant teleport I mean jump in the air for .0000000000001 sec, then do Back HP, Back MK, LP Yoga flame.
Seriously, I see Iyo do it multiple times, each time without fail. Is there a certain technique to it, am I looking at it wrong, or do you just have to be insanely fast with your hand?
:dp::r::uf: :3p:/:3k:
You don’t have to do it as fast as you’d think.
I feel like an idiot now. I kept attempting by jumping, followed by teleport.
Just tried your input, and it works great. Thanks a bunch!
upgraded BnB
hey, over past weeks i’ve been learning to use the IAT then jumping neutral heavy punch, back MK into light Yoga flame and starting to occasionally hit it in games …
now i’m watching some replays on net i see all the pros in videos using the jumping back HP instead, but i cant seem to get it…
is it you hold back for the HP in the air, then immediately go to neutral again then back to start the MK -> L flame? or you hold back all the time, from the HP in air and keep holding back for the MK?
hope that question makes sense…
just hold back until you do the flame
Are you talking about the headbutt? I believe that won’t hit a crouching opponent. The neutral HP will hit a standing or crouching opponent so it’s the best to use overall. I think the pros are just good enough to determine which to use whether their opponent is standing or crouching (I think headbutt deals more damage), but if you’re just starting to learn it, I would go with the neutral HP, then move on from there.
Probably a dumb question, but I just started using Dhalsim, so please forgive me.
How can I avoid fireballs with the down+PPP move? I am getting hit by them still. >.< Do I have to do it right before the fireball touches me, or way before, or what?
Thanks.
Gotta do it before, it has a fair bit of startup. Also, try not hit hit df or db, it wont work that way
the headbut will hit crouchers if you IAT close enough to the ground.
’
You can also wait a split second if they don’t do any AA.
I keep throwing out headbutts. It seems to throw people off. They probably think my controller is broken. They don’t know I am a moron stuck in panic mode. My main problem with Dhalsim is choking when I get the opponent almost dead.
This is a great thread thanks to everybody who poured their knowledge into it.
my favorite dhalsim combo(corner only)
:l::mk:, Yoga Flame XX Yoga Inferno and after that you can whiff either, :l::lk:,:l::mk:,:l::mp:(i like using the :l::lk:) then :l: grab them. they fall for it alot cause its so fast.:wgrin:.
or in midscreen.
:l::mk:, Yoga Flame XX Yoga Inferno, you can only whiff the S.:lk: after the Yoga Inferno.
(I do this one because i want them to keep standing up afer the whiff)
