Dhalsim Video Thread

ive been playing seth now, and gootecks is actually right on the money with this one, learning him teaches you his flaws and openings pretty efficiently

This is basically the reason that I started playing seth back in vanilla. Between seth and sim…

Seth is fun to play with… but not neeeeeeeeearly as satisfying to win with as Sim. I smile when I come across another Sim online — I groan when I encounter Seth… st.fp, st.fp, neutral jump fp, st.fp, wall-bounce-cross-up-mk combo, jump back, rinse & repeat.

Seth blows.

Gio is not actually my real name xD! I use it only here in shoriuken forum!

Other than missed AAs and dropped punishes, I need some critiquing please. I’ll post more when I get the chance to record some more.

First of all… you need to be more calm, so you can gain control over your damn intersect!

Hahaha, i c wut u did thar.

EDIT: I also wish I had the intersect in my face D: Maybe it would give me gdlk powerz to be gdlk in SF

At the top of my head I can say that you should probably learn to crouch tech, even though your wiff techs (Or maybe they are all throw attempts?) doesnt really get punnished that hard in this video! I see you anti air with b.mp which is good, but follow up with a 2 in 1 medium fireball for more pressure maybe. He can roll for free through it? But then you will be ready with throw. Also you were often at a range, which if he rolled, he would be just out of throw range… Id say either get slightly closer and react to his rolls and attempts at getting in, or distance yourself further.

I saw Arturo fight this match against rico suave, and he almost never used standing (or down) fierce, but a lot of standing mp and such… This is probably because abel can get in pretty fast, and you want to have time to anti air or react, so keep the standing fierce at a minimum if not at max range:)

Yeah, they were crouch tech attempts but I never get it right and eventually start to get a bit mashy. I forgot b. mp was cancellable, thanks for all the info

I am a Dhalsim player and need advice of what I do wrong.

Advice please! Comment …

Dhalsim vs Sagat

Well played, nice distance. 2 tips:

 1. use more s.hk to punish far jumpins
 2. use less random IAT, decent Sagat players know how to punish it.

Thanks!

More reviews please! xD

Find better opponents to fight and learn moar!!

perfect sin i always love watching your sim! reppin is great. at least lud was smart enough to fricken pick Ultra 1 on you, LOL
good stuff

i wont lie, ultra 1 mind fucked me…gonna have to harness my inner lameness hardcore for him next time lol

Nice job.
Btw, noob question, how do you IAT?

Started a playlist on youtube with combo vids and matches using Shangri-La. Hope it’s helpful. Let’s start talking about more Shangri-La punishes.
