KKK teleport on wakeup after u get knocked down or EX Blast if they are jumping on you is the best thing u can do instead of sliding or dashing
@ Konkrete: you did well in the second match against Ryu, you could’ve had him. The only things I could point out that might help is work on your reactions for punishes. A missed srk should be punished by more than just a throw when you have meter. Also a couple of times you let him jump in for free when you could have easily AA with b.mp. Other than that you did ok considering the pressure.
@ Dhalsim22: this is a tournament match not a XBL match so safety is number one priority when using Sim so Konkrete did the right thing after throwing Ryu into the corner and backing away and zoning. Fball teleport trap would’ve put himself in the corner and a Ryu who knows the matchup will just mash out an invincible EX srk on wakeup and knock you down anyway. Kick teleport has no advantage over punch teleport in this game. And why waste EX meter for AA when a simple b.mp or b.hk will do? b.hk 110 vs EX upflame 140 at the cost of a bar. Konkrete is good at teching so sometimes blocking is the right thing to do.

I have been playing sim since vanilla came out. I have some earlier posts, but i mostly just lurk the boards for info. I don’t post to often.
I hear you on the nerves thing. If you saw footage of my last tourney showing in here, you’d be like, “who are you trying to give me advice!” I was so bad I turned a free punish into an anti air. =/

It takes guts to post this I suppose…
Man, we all have our bad nights…but this was just a total and complete shut down. Did OK in the first AiF tourney placing 4th but tonight was, well, you’ll see for yourself at about an hour and 41 mins into the stream. Thing is, I know this match up fairly well, but all my mojo left the dojo obviously. In that last round when he did the EX roll, I had my Shangri-La buffered and just froze up like a deer in headlights. Missed a BnB. All my AA’s. Just a horrible performance. Hate Abel. Grrr.

Probably he was referring to recover frames. In this game KKK has been nerfed, and now it has the same of the PPP teleport (48).

So here’s my better match, still with a lot of mistakes. Why do I love sliding? I don’t know. I was playing ok before this and this is where I picked it up.
That IA Shangri-La to punish the jump-in in the second round of the first match was awesome.
Curious if there was a reason you never punished T-Hawk’s airdive on block? With both matches being so close, I think that made a huge difference since he felt safe to get close with it.
Yeah I had a chance to do it again but at this point I should stop saying how much I sucked for my first major.
I’ve found that with ex flame being +full screen U2 is just so good. You really can’t jump in from anywhere. I really wanted to catch him jumping back in that later match but oh well

Konkrete – good shit =) My only critique (besides the aforementioned ‘use slide less’ that’s already been echoed) is to use Yoga Tower occasionally when trying to avoid fireballs. I noticed that there were several instances where you could have towered an ex fireball and then punished his jump-in, instead you neutral jumped into a spear to gain placement, allowing him to jump in. So yeah, that’s pretty much it, just use a better variety for fireball avoidance (mix up lk.slide, tower, focus-dash, neutral spear) 
That U2 setup in the 2nd round was pimp as fuck, though. Props.
Like i said it was my first time playing a T. hawk and if you watched i kept trying to grab thinking he was going to land next to me. I played another T. hawk after that and i learned how to properly punish from that match so my loss wasn’t so bad at least i learned something.
