Dhalsim Video Thread

it was hard to tell his normals getting bufferd, some of the empire guys told me st. fp got shorter but that wasnt true, didnt see normal dmb improvement but you know only played casuals.

u2 can be jumped on reaction that is true, seth K told me in the original build it used to be air to ground AND air to air, not anymore though, said it was to good (how god like would that have been).
up flame looked faster

I ASSUME b.mk into flame is safe now, i mean its only safe by one frame in sf4, so hopefully its freaking one frame faster.

u2 is quite exciting, it makes you respect sims teleport mix ups. you cannot jab as an AA and stoping his IAT, also its a great punish. (yoga tower on there wake up, IAT backwards to bait srk, u2 punish)

get hyped boys, sim got better

Thanks for the report Lucky D.

There has been many a time when I have thought of dropping Sim since he basically disadvantaged against a lot of the cast but I am glad I stuck it out after reading your post.

I was worried for Dhalsim when I found out a lot of stuff was getting nerfed (Capcom worked their magic on low-tier Cammy) but we can’t complain anymore since a standing fierce is worth almost as much as a heavy tiger uppercut and other characters getting health nerfs (eg Gief, Sagat) = an indirect buff for Sim.

Hi LuckyD, thanks for your videos.
I’ve seen you’ve done an instant U2 in a match vs Bison. Which is the input motion?
Does the U1 + super always comboable?

Either you can do an instant air ultra going forward or backward… not that much of a difference really, since you barely leave the ground:
:d::df::r::d::df::r::uf::3p: or :d::df::r::d::df::r::ub::3p:

haha i didnt tiger knee that one, i just did it off jump, did not get a chance to try tiger knee;ing it, didnt want to get kicked off system

yea looks like sim at least didnt get worse

gore didnt get to check, never used U1 too busy tryin u2 sroyy :frowning:

yo god you going to etc or gamme (gamme is in FL, im helpin run that one) ? we should meet up and talk sim

You definitely can TK instant air ultra… True we played the non complete build here at the time. But I do remember landing a few TK instant air ultra’s

Yup, and you don’t even seem to leave the ground… Wonder if that means less frames before connectiong the grab? It would make sence if the ultra connected faster when you are all up in your opponents goodies, rather than on the top of the screen!

Fun fact: Cody can ex upper dhalsims ultra 1 and disintegrate it completly:P:P

Thats not a fun fact that is retarded! :frowning:

It’d be worth it if it gave you the time to IAT BnB.

ahahaha this is so depressing

Fuck yeah, Lucky! Dude, GAMME is going to be held < 4 miles from my house. I’m fucking stoked. I haven’t gotten to watch the vid of you beating Marn, gonna look for it now! Props dude  Marn is a beast… can’t wait to see a Sim take him out haha.

LMAO @ taunt at 01:21

Fun match to watch. Youtube was up in China long enough for me to watch it.

Now it’s gone. Talk about a cocktease.

So finally we get some Iyo action I guess! Not dissapointed:)

god damn he is so good its scary…im not a fan boy but wow

Yeah Iyo is truly sick, nothing fanboy about that observation. Such a beasting in that casual match, only to have Eita beast on him in nationals the next day. That jp national tourney was nothing but trouble for Sim, a straight up gauntlet of Sagats, Doofus, and Akumas. To win that even w/ Nemo on his team would have been nothing short of impossible.

I think it was Mjou (sp?), who beat Kindevu in one match? Unbelievable Sim mobility, the dude is just crazy agile. Can’t wait for the jp tourney match vids.

its matches like that, that would make capcom think twice about buffing Sim. Even though he needs it bad, I thinks its easy to forget with the way Iyo plays him. Imagine if Sim where top tier I think it would be really hard to beat Iyo at any tournament. I’m half joking but, I blame Iyo if Sim isn’t buffed enough in SSF4.

<< GDLK zoning by Mjou against a Chun. What I noticed most was his use of st. MP as an anti-air, he used it 3 times in the first round. Very impressive.

I’m actually impressed on how he’s able to trade kikouken with st.fierce when the ball is 1/4th of its trajectory. I also liked how he decided to go for a back cr.mp to m.kick to have enough space to instant overhand for his last combo.

P.S Hey Sat you got a really good sim! Wish I had my Stick with me when I played vs you I was so free =[
