Idk, but does back HP do more damage than crouch HP? I figure that would be the better starter if they do the same.

when I jump and try to do the move as fast as possible, it is always a bit higher, making it useless. I’m probably missing something basic here…

Picked up dhalsim literally last night and I can sense him coming along, played a really really good player who was good with everyone aND he gave me the business, he gave me mika, laura, gief, nash, chun and fang, ando he won every setc either 5-2 or 5-0 but I learned a lot, I then played a couple sets with someone more my skI’ll level and I won against his karin aND his chun.

Edit: My main weakness right now is anti airs and going for too many throws

Also I have a harder time doing air instant teleport in this game sometimes I’ll get a jump attack instead, gotta clean that up, buthe I’m having a blast

That combo is not possible with cr.hp since you can’t cancel it to heavy yoga flame.

So far the best way is to execute it is a 360 motion from forward. Using the numpad as a reference that would be {63214789 + [Punch]}. You have to be quick but it’s quite easy to perform when you get the hang of it.

I do 632149, but I’m still not sure of the uses. When and why should I instant gale?

So far, if I’m not mistaken (I could be), it’s mainly used to punish mashers. I saw TS Sabin doing it often, I suppose he was trying to catch jab mashing or perhaps throw as well.

EDIT: I’m fooling around with this and it seems that {32149+P} works as well (I find it significantly easier since I can just push the joystick in the corner making sure I won’t press UP by mistake)

You guys should check Valles stream asap. Hes doing a FT10 with FChamp and Champs Sim is fuckin sick to watch.

So I went to the lab with Sim today to test out some combos I was using a few betas back and I realized that I can’t get EX instant air gale to come out. I never used to have a problem with it, and I even checked my inputs to make sure I was hitting both buttons at the same time (I am). I get the regular version every single time. Is the timing different now? Is there something I am missing here? Any advice would be appreciated.

Just tested this, you are right. I can get it by doing {963214 +PP}. I suppose it’s timing/height specific.

EDIT: I find it easier to do {83214 +PP}

The more I play Sim, the more I realize he’s what I wanted Fang to be.

This might be the best Sim since ST. I swear, it doesn’t even feel fair. He has an option for everything now.

He’s probably top 3 as of right now.

Anyone noticed that when teleporting in corners Sim will be facing the wrong direction for a while?

With some testing, this can be prevented by teleporting very low; you have to be quick on your IATeleport otherwise you will face the wrong direction. So far I just tested this versus Cammy in the lab.
