This is true. I doubt it, but it’s certainly not outside the realm of possibility.
Yeah; that ending the spoilers put across now? While I put Dexter writers in that “Michael Jackson” category, where nothing I hear about them is impossible, they HAVE to know the current one will brand them forever. So, I’m hoping the spoilers are only about halfway true.
Damn, Saitsu getting me mad amp to see this shit tonight
So how do you guys want me to do your eulogies? You know, when you die from your body being unable to handle the pure rage.
I still have rage over the dissolving of Dexter’s homicidal urges. They just handled it so bad. There was next to no build up to that. He wasn’t slowly re-evaluating his life decisions while developing feelings. He wasn’t feeling remorse or sickness over killing 30+ people (despite them being assholes). He just suddenly doesn’t need to murder any more because of Hannah. Dexter losing his murderous urges is a landmark moment in the series, and THIS is how it’s presented? Ugh.
These writers have a gift for taking something that sounds cool on paper and turning it to shit. Remember Deb finding Dex killing someone? Another landmark moment. So, did Deb get a clue about Doakes that seemed fishy and inspect it? Did she harbor suspicion about Dex and unravel a thread? No. Dexter told her to meet him at the church, yet still did his elaborate kill ritual shit there. That’s how he got caught. Also, let’s not forget: part of the reason Deb showed up was that her therapist said she might love Dexter (a retarded plotline that hasn’t done anything worthwhile since).
As I’m going over this, it infuriates me that these people are being paid money for this shit. Even though Showtime is partly to blame for pushing Dex several seasons past its expiration date, I still want them to see if they can get the money back.
"Yeah, Dexter. You know, that show about the serial killer guy. Well I mean he doesn’t kill anyone anymore, so I guess he’s just some dude who used to kill people and has a son who can’t run on treadmills. But it’s still good, it has this sub-plot about this girl we just met and I guess she smokes the ganja, and I’m not really sure if we’re supposed to be for or against her smoking, but I’m sure they’re going somewhere with it.
Yeah I’ll be over to watch Breaking Bad."
Tonight’s the night. That I’ll finally be able to be done with this shitty show.
C’mon you fucking clock. Hit 9 already. End the misery.
Have the thread ready so you can make one lone rant filled post of death.
Man, I’m so giddy at this point.
WOW. Dexter airs at 9? I’ve only been torrenting it. Now the comparisons to BB make even more sense.
Hey guys, remember Detective Miller? The writers didn’t.
Poor Geo, I don’t think even you deserve what’s about to happen.
Hannah too broke to afford hair dye and shades.
Should’ve called Sarah Walker.
I’m not suicidal. In fact, I really enjoyed most of the episode…
I definitely don’t want any kind of spinoff though.
[details=Spoiler]This was actually really good - except him abandoning his kid and everything…
I just feel like they could’ve let him have the happy ending instead of living a life of solitude. I know they gave him the out of him protecting them by not being around, but I’m just a sucker for a happy ending. I expected Dex to show up at their table.
Here’s hoping to no spinoff. I do like that Harrison is left with Hannah and I’d like to keep that one good part of the finale. A spinoff would obviously just spread the speculation of when Dex is coming back and the fallout of him faking his death, etc.
Please Showtime, leave it be. While somewhat disheartening, it was a good finale.[/details]
Hmm…it seems the spoilers were somewhat wrong if I’m not mistaken. That’s good, I guess there won’t be any rage…damn.
I couldn’t watch the episode live.
And just to be clear, I did note the obvious flaws of the finale.
[details=Spoiler]Driving into a fucking hurricane? Really? And somehow surviving while your boat was torn to shreds? How did that happen?
Nobody noticing Oliver cutting the guy’s tongue out, when they’re in a vehicle parked in front of people, in daylight, with no tinted windows.
Pen kill was over the top.[/details]
But hey. I still enjoyed it.
What were the spoilers reporting?
Quinn becomes the new Dexter. That was the biggest pain in the ass.
Yea… that would’ve induced some rage.
