So much stupidity this ep it was driving me insane. You can’t watch Breaking Bad and then Dexter without your head almost imploding from the logical inconsistencies and retarded maneuvers.
It almost seems like Hannah McKay wants to be caught. Windows open, leaving hiding spots right when the door slams instead of waiting for a signal, etc… Dex leaving the super dangerous and cunning Saxon, alive was such a dumb character epiphany to move the plot. Yeah and leave him with a bunch of knives with your sis too. Good job.
The one redemption is seeing how fine Miguel Prado’s widow still looks.

I still just can’t even comprehend the massive fall off from season 4, even with the change in showrunners and the rot of the premise in general. I don’t get how things turn this bad. How can these shitbag writers genuinely think they’re still doing good?
Just the Hannah thing alone can serve as the official tombstone of this series. No need for a finale. Dex killed animals as a kid and went through all the regular serial killer motions (if you can call them that). Now, thanks to the love of a woman, he’s alright? He can say goodbye to those urges? Whew, that’s good to know.

I still find it odd that with all these homicides happening all around Dex no detective in Miami P.D. has connecting a single dot.
-Dex’s wife was murdered, presumably by the Trinity killer.
-A brutal murder occurred this season in the apartment right next to Dexter’s house.
-Dexter, donning some interesting clothing for a nightly stroll happens to be the first “witness” to Dr. Vogel’s grisly murder scene.
…and so far only Doakes and Doakes’ former side piece Laguerta have been able to connect these dots? Even if the evidence is circumstantial, those are some pretty weird coincidences.
Hell, based on the killings happening because of Dex alone these 8 years, Miami would rival some Mexican cities in murder rate.
That’s another reason this fall from grace is so unacceptable. I mean, look at what we accepted even when this show was good. In any competent police department, Dex would have been caught long ago. He calls people (like Trinity) on his cell phone, looks up info on people he’s about to kill on a police computer, buys a ton of consistent supplies (like plastic) frequently, and takes forever to set up a kill room. That’s just off the top of my head; dude’s just begging to be caught.
We accepted all that stupidity just because that’s how Dex does his thing, and the writers can’t even live up to that standard. They have to go lower. Make Dexter stupid. His motives stupid. Everything around him stupid. This season is so weak, and it steams me the writers are so ignorant of it. This season is so garbage, I’m sad it’s all wrapped and in the can. If it wasn’t, I would have sent these writers a Breaking Bad Box Set out of the hope they could learn from it and salvage something.
-i still dont understand how saxon got out… i mean dex had him strapped down for the kill… so you mean he couldve struggled if dex wanted to kill him. an that scene outside the door where he was trying to get loose they just played like nothing was happening.

season finale i will watch to get this over with. sorry but it has been a Zzzz fest this season.

The only reason Saxon didn’t snitch to the US Marshall dude was because he was still capable of exacting revenge personally and escaping. If he was caught he could easily spill the beans and connect the dots for Miami P.D.
