I like this episode, but I thought Hannah killing douchebag hubby Millionaire Miles was just way too tacky and impulsive for her character. She could’ve killed him at anytime and she lost her cool at this specific moment, the worst timing ever. Eh.
I knew Zach would fuck up, but I expected it to be 2 episodes from now. I rather liked cute neighbor girl, but she signed her life away the moment she admitted to only be attracted to unavailable/ uninterested men and was stringing that random dude along. Fuck that bullshit.
I’m starting to believe the reason why the show is focusing on Quinn’s life so much is because they’re prepping him to be the guy who finds out about Dex and Deb crimes.
I found it hilarious how his daughter practically inherited all of his Masuka-ness, including his loose moral fiber. I can tell she’s a lot of fun.
Plus, she looks like the type of girl who stares at you with crazy eyes while you’re banging her.
Well Hannah did give an excuse. When a renowned poison expert comes into a rich guy’s life, poisoning him…probably not the best idea. Which is why she wanted to get Dexter to do it to get the blame on him. Two birds, one stone. Which makes you think about the possibility of her still playing Dexter. Obviously the way she killed him was more self-defense than anything, but she still has someone to drop blame on if necessary.
As for Zach, yeah I expected it to blow up but not so soon. And honestly? I’m glad it happened so quickly. This was a bad idea from the start, and Vogel just seems to like destroying her credibility right when she builds it back up.
Oh and apparently the creators said we’ll all hate the ending so…fuck…
Episode was alright. Hannah and Dexter still love each other, Deb still hates Hannah, Zach is whatever, Quinn is there, Masuka’s daughter is smokin’. Can Dexter please kill someone soon?
There’s 5ish episodes left to wrap this shit up? They just better not Sopranos the ending. I agree with the Quinn finding out theory since why the fuck is Quinn getting so much screen time. Oh Quinn and the nanny are moving in together? Holy shit how exciting.
Which is why her killing Miles seemed really dumb considering that she’s being taking his abuse for quite a while now. I don’t think she out to trick Dex, it’s been pretty much established by her actions that she’s still “crazy in love” with him.
As for Zach not being the killer. It’s only possible because of how dumb it sounds, not because it’s good storytelling. Making Dex kill Zach then having Vogel/random pseudo-bf be the culprit would be really weak and add nothing to the story.
I laugh every time Dex claims he never killed an innocent and doesn’t make mistakes. He seems to always conveniently forget that photographer guy he sliced and diced under the premise that he was murdering his models, only to find out later that his assistant was the real perp. +1 Miami Metro.
Well Miles was threatening to take them over the Atlantic and essentially trap her on that boat forever so you know, it kind of upped the urgency of the matter.
Let’s not forget about that one dude who antagonized him in the first episode of season 6 I think. Dexter has been a consistent fuck up since season 2 ended
Is that the same guy he randomly beat to death in the bathroom? Also, what’s the deal with that guy? I always thought they were gonna go somewhere with that storyline, like the cops do the normal cop thing and try to find the killer and put Dexter in danger, but they literally never mentioned it afterwards.
You have a point. I guess the turn of events just seemed a bit too convenient for my tastes.
In those cases I kind of gave him a pass because those guys were antagonizing him in some form. The photographer dude however, was completely innocent and Dex totally messed up by doing sloppy detective work. That one incident was a clear example of “The Code” failing.
Crazy stupid theory: Vogel made Zach kill neighbor lady the same way she made that one guy suffocate the other guy in like the second or third episode. Turns out Zach isn’t a natural killer but she’s turning him into one, this throws Dexter’s whole world into a spiral, big dramatic ending.
I gotta say, that would actually be a really cool twist. Unfortunately, if that does happen, it will have less of an impact on me now you’ve made me think about it
