Lila, the girl he was cheating on Rita with, killed Doakes. it played out like that because within the parameters of the show, Dexter is the “good guy.” if Dexter killed Doakes, then we, the viewer, would think less of him. someone else had to get rid of Doakes, someone that Dexter could kill… Lila.
if Hannah stays around for awhile, she might be the one to kill LaGuerta because Dexter can’t do it without becoming “evil” in the eyes of the viewer

Dude, I’m telling all of you. Dexter going around having sex with women is out of character. Even with Rita, a woman he loved, he only did it for appearance and didn’t care about sex. It sucks how they’re forcing love plots in this.
^^^ Yes! They’ve gradually normalized dexter, hes not a monster anymore hes an addict, a victim even. He experiences love and remorse. He gets blowjobs at HS reunions and has to have a girlfriend every season now. (having said that, she IS fine as fuck and also a serial killer).
-I also don’t like how they turned Harry into Ghost Dad Sidekick rather than a memory and embodiment of “the code.” OR how they seem to use him kind of unevenly, he was kind of around too much this episode but then goes for long stretches of not being around.

good eps so far. Isaac gonna get that literal get out of jail free card. I’d like to see just how deep shit gets with the mob now. la guerta should probably get foiled by deb unless something happens out of deb’s control. Dex boning hannah was an obvious one, he was obviously attracted to her at first sight, he had never had that reaction to someone before. i doubt dex was never into sex he was a virgin, rita de-flowered him and he continued on with british whore lumen mid-west gas station chick blowee at reunion. he’s not actively looking for it but wont pass up on it when its available, that fits more in terms of believe-ability than just trying to get dex a girlfriend every season.
And as for Hannah, I think she might have killed all of those alleged people after her spree, within Dexter’s code:
