I don’t think Quinn is a bad character…he is a dirty cop which creates some complicated situations, especially with how it conflicts with Batista being a “good cop”.

[details=Spoiler] ok season is looking good, they’re taking their time with Deb and that’s all good because if they do off her, it will be much more hurtful to the audience which will be a legit setup to the plot. Interested in hannah, i hope she has something that will be important to the story since they X’d out louis. I’m thinking she was responsible for a few of those killings also when she was younger. Quinn still has a chance to be interesting because he still knows Dex is not as clean as the rest of Miami Metro thinks with Robocop getting stabbed in the van, and Dex clearing Quinn’s name after the blood on shoe incident.
I doubt louis will be connected to Dex’s boat cuz the security cameras there would show the mob shooting Louis, unless they plot hole that fact or Dex parks his boat at a different location with no cameras after what happened with the BayHarbor investigation.
anyway, random thoughts done. Awesome ep, liked the smoke of minotaur fading away with Dex’s slides maybe he will try to stop his dark passenger, getting rid of trophies is a huge deal. Plus during Debs whole “u want to fuck ur momma, just like i want to fuck my bro” speech she gave to Minotaur, Dex seemed to like the psych game she was playing on him and accepted the fact that he was going to jail the “right” way so he may still be able to release that dark passenger.
Yeah I am leaning towards being ‘the gay’. I was fucking jaw dropping at how he convinces some dude to randomly shoot himself. “for my family?” Yeah, sure. GGPO.
Or they will get Quinn back on Dexter’s ass. I’m actually QUITE curious to see how this plays out.

Meh, the fact its her brother, and she’s starting to see how useless and ineffective the police department is, and the fact that she’s been so involved with some of the killers he has off’d. I’m still shocked they haven’t truly brought up the fact he chose Deb over his brother.
imo, the episode was great, but the best part for me personally was Deb bringing back Rita’s murder and questioning Dexter about it, and calling him out on his selfishness.
and yes Deb is my fav character in the show.

There are some things that are improving with the show but the writing still is lacking.
I like that were not giving the rest of miami metro their own little side stories and are downplaying them as characters, never really cared to see what was going on with Batista or Quinn or Laguerta personally
Couldn’t they have just gotten the bartender to take the rap and go to jail? Wasnt he in the mob with them? isnt that usually done? Making him kill himself kind of seemed unnecessary.
The baby sitter is a bit unrealistic. That fine ass wouldn’t have all that time to be with harrison seemingly 24-7 and whenever Dex needs her, its a bit too convenient. I guess the writers were catching on and figured out a good temporary solution for Harrison not being around. Shes really cute though ill give her that.
Why do they have to set dex up with another love interest? For a so called monster who needs his privacy he sure has a lot of girlfriends.

really agree. I thought it was always a weird contrast for Dex to be a killer hiding in plain sight, and the rest of the cast (save Deb and Doakes) involved in very typical police procedural subplots. The Batista/Laguerta love affair was the least captivating thing I’ve seen on a premium cable show.
