Nobody will be investigating only if the plot doesn’t need it, otherwise that’s the first thing that will draw some suspicion for Batista.
Batista would be the main conspirator, but Masuka’s forensic expertise would be needed for something conclusive. Matthews could be tag-along/ figurehead.
All Batista has to do is convince him to probe (lol) and find one inconsistency and Masuka will hesitantly but surely get both feet wet.
Deb is a flawed person but her ethics were never called into question. She has a conscience and just committed an act that she’s spent her life putting people away for, 1st degree murder. To say she’ll be an emotional wreck next season would be an understatement.
That said, killing LaGuerta was still easier to believe than her shooting her brother/ love-interest.
She’s truly in love with Dex, her only potential failure lies in trying to get revenge on Deb. I’m not sure being that petty is her M.O. especially when she has a lot to lose already.
Yes but her having a Court Order to look into it and then on the same night she happens to turn up dead with Dex absent from the party as well. Batista’s too good of a detective to let that drop.
I don’t see why Dexter wouldn’t have gotten rid of the court order. It was at her house that he got the idea to kill her, so he probably had everything planned out before he left the house.
Because if Laguerta goes back to the house and it’s not there she immediately becomes suspicious of Dex trying something on HER. Which means she likely would’ve actually brought some backup.
Just finished the season…Deborah is so fucking annoying…
