Man, the writers have such a tough job this season. they have to have the characters be candid and remain dramatic while not being campy. Pretty hard with all the crazy stuff going on. Last episode had a few moments where I just rolled my eyes. At least they’re moving the narrative towards a conclusion though.
I think the only thing that could happen to make everybody happy at this point is for Isaak to kill Hannah, and then Dexter kill Isaak. Its basically the only scenario that makes sense.

[details=Spoiler] Obviously first things first, most impressive part of season was seeing Jaime in her bathing suit, too bad she didnt get in a mud fight with Hannah, and then Latina cop and laguerta arrest and punish them and let them go for bad behavior. seriously though, crazy didnt see the deb confession. Astor smokin weed was necessary because of the dialogue that deb and dex have through her when they talk about vices and how doing something to relax or calm you can actually be worse than the stress, aka dark passenger shit. I dont know if im stretching but i get the feeling hannah’s gonna go ballistic and poison the kids, maybe deb, laguerta but she’s in for the next season maybe. anyway sleepy just fast thoughts.
I haven’t read the books, so I have no idea if any of what’s happening in this season happened in the books.
But since it’s the final season I wouldn’t put it past the writers to kill Dexter.
The next one will be the last… they basically said they already have the ending done for it.
Alternatively thinking Hannah survives and they both go on a killing spree, resulting in both being killed by Deborah and the cops. That would be wild.
i dont think dex realizes how much of a sociopath she is, or at least he thinks that he is a sociopath and that they are exactly the same.
[details=Spoiler] for some reason, after she says to dex “enjoy your time with your family” something like that, it just felt eerie after finding out how easily she can lie. dex has a conscience, hannah’s a female version of rudy in terms of understanding dex and having a bond that is very strong, in this case her punani rather than a bloodline. plus i dont think laguerta gets the boot so fast, all this investigating she’s doing is laying the groundwork for heavy shit to rain down and it’d be an even bigger waste than louis if she gets it in this season. If there is a mass murder at the hands of hannah, they did build it right cuz of how emotionally invested dex is and the fact that her victims now are mostly dex’ loved ones… or yea isaac < hannah leads to dex < isaac.
It’s obvious that Dex is making a risky decision being with a serial killer with her profile Deb isn’t seeing it like this though, she’s equating it on an emotional level because she wants to be with Dex. That is why she finds it so appalling, not on the basis or morality or logic.
Dex doesn’t really have a conscience, he just has a code that has been instilled in him to the point where it acts as a proto-consciousness of sorts. Hannah just seems more manipulative because of her gender, and the fact that she doesn’t have a code makes her decisions seem more selfish. In reality both Dex and Hannah are self-serving, even when it comes to protecting the people they care about aka their “property”. (Dex —> Deb or Hannah —>Dex)
LaGuerta still breathes. No bueno.
Oh and one more thing. Jaime’s annual salary has got to be well in the 60-80k range at this point, otherwise she’s being shafted hard. I don’t even care how much Dex makes, that mamacita is practically Au Pair status right now. Watching her caring for the youngin’s almost makes me want her to be the mother of my children. :pleased:

Isaak is like the best Dexter villain we’ve had in along time. You kinda wish he and Dex could’ve been friends at some point. He’s not one-dimensional, I’ll hate to see him go
I’ll have a feeling Deb is gonna turn on Dex, I sure she doesn’t appreciate Hannah receiving the attention that Deb longs for. She’ll either kill Hannah or be somehow indirectly responsilbe for killing Hannah

I like how everything panned out! Hannah still alive is going to be a good tension point between Deb and Dex and possibly have her contemplating helping Laguerta out. Laguerta and Matthews working together is good because Matthews was tight with Harry and prob knows just generally what Dexters story is concerning the mother and his troubled youth and if you watch the “coming up next week” section they do discuss Dexter. Is next season supposed to be the last season? I wonder if Quinn will come forward with his dirt on Dexter to get out of some trouble too.
That burn unit guy is mad creepy too, hes just like Dexter! How big will his role be? Will this just be a kill for Dexter or will he have significance to the overall story.
One thing bothered me, how he just shanks the guy at the shooting range while others were nearby and leaves him there, super careless! [/details]
This season definitely turned out better than last season, maybe even the last 2, and I like that theyre closing in on the endgame

Out of all the characters in this show only one has actually made me sad as hell to see go and hes been in like what 7 episodes? I was hoping they would’ve ended up bros or something in the end even though I knew it wouldn’t happen lol.

Fantastic episode! I still ponder this question, will the next season end up with Dex getting caught? Or will he live happily ever after with Hannah? RIP to Issak. He truly was an excellent character and it was a shame to see him and his assistant go.

On top of that, they introduce ANOTHER killer. Don’t shit on the Isaak Serco character by flooding this season with a bunch of nonsense characters just to make it to 12 episodes.
Where can this go, realistically? LaGuerta is gonna get offed but I don’t know if it’ll be by this season, Quinn is in dutch with Eric Bishoff but it doesn’t look like that will go anywhere since there’s no point to it anymore and why would he want to stir the pot with Isaak already gone, and how good can the firebug be? I have no hope for the rest of the season and have a feeling it will lead to it sucking.
Also, WTF at that guy being alive at 2-3 p.m. according to where the sun was and living until dusk but telling Dexter he’s as good as dead? If you can live that fucking long you have the time to go to a hospital and get fixed. So sloppy.[/details]
