Indeed,Doakes always had that menacing rage and the interactions between him and Dexter were brilliantly done.I think that’s the main reason I liked the show so much to begin with,the shows dark humour was at it’s finest then.
On the other hand Quinn is just a generic creep with loose morals.Although there was a very funny moment in the latest episode between the two…
I recently picked up one of the books when I was getting a flight(Dexter by design),the first book in the series I’ve read and although far from a literary masterpiece it was very entertaining,especially “robo Doakes” genuine laugh out loud stuff.
John Lithgow is awesome as a bad guy, I’m so used to his good guy roles like Robin Williams, they manage to creep you out so much playing bad guys. BRAVO!!

Eh, I guess I’m in the minority that didn’t really like Doakes. He was cool being that tough guy all up in your business dude but he was just too silly to be the main antagonist imo.
Also, Deb is the least attractive female lead on the show.

Swearing is offputting for sure, but the actress herself is hot.
Quin is crazy dirty, Doakes wasn’t. I can’t see Quin being a serious rival. Pretty sure he has a ton of skeletons in his closet that Dexter can use against him if push came to shove.
John Lithgow is creepy as a villain. Two seconds into his character and you forget all about his ‘Third Rock’ stuff. One of the greatest actors of our time hands down.
It’s creepy that the actors who play Dexter and Deb got married in real life… :wasted: I guess they make a nice enough looking couple if you can forget the brother / sister thing they got going on the show… :wonder:

I was a bit worried about Lithgow being the villain,I wasn’t sure if it’d work given his comedy connections but he was great in that episode.
I wish they wouldn’t give the killers cheesy names like “trinity” but I can live with it.
This season is turning out to be a lot better than 3.
Man, I was just sitting at home and realized at 11pm that Dexter just aired so I went to go acquire it. Now I’m going to be dialed in on every Sunday night.
I think from Quin’s point of view Dexter’s reaction is justified.
He’s on his high horse about letting Benitez walk. Then he gets caught pocketing money at a crime scene(Granted pocketing money is a little different than letting a murderer walk, but if you’re gonna be going off about the system don’t use it for your own advantage).
I wouldn’t want to be around him either if I was Dexter.
Damage control will happen or Quin will get vindictive , but Quin doesn’t exactly strike me as a guy that’s clean cut
Great fucking ending, at first it was a bit annoying but im starting to like dexter trying to be a normal person and dealing with fucking neighborhood patrol.

tits! and deb was looking sexy as hell all episode. definitely enjoying dexter’s new development and the similarities to trinity killer. trinity’s nickname came from his killing cycle, so at least it’s not just used as some “cool” name. dexter is going to have mad problems with this family, building distrust already.

Downloading the newest episode right now. I’ve been watching the normal quality versions that EZTV uploads, but now I’m getting the 720p version. Gonna put it on my PS3 and have it upscale it! :tup: Can’t wait to see the difference.

Ep was hot this week. It’s starting to seem like Dexter is getting back to the old way of doing things. Quinn is gonna get offed by Dex. This is a given. Deb and Lundy will get it on at some point and Anton is out of the picture. How long will Angel X Maria will last is anyone’s guess. I know that Trinity and Dexter will have to cross paths at some point. Just the thought of that has me hype for whenever that happens. Hopefully Dex will pick up some pointers before offing him.
