Devil May Cry!

Good. Maybe you should just settle on the fact that people dissagree with you for various reasons. I think DMC1 is the best action game I have ever played and many people dissagree with me and I have just learned to live it. You should probably do that same.

^ yea

“DMC4 still has everything that fans expect of the game ? over the top fight sequences, tons of replayability and an experience with an excellent production value.” pls b rational you can slam dunk demons

are there any demon chicks in any of the DMC games

like any of them i don’t remember but thinking about it it would be hella sick to just slice up demon chicks

Like I said before, I’m sure some people said the same thing about DMC 2. Even the worst games have fans, it’s all good.

DMC 3 dante tops him easily.

lol Um…There was Nevan in DMc3 and Echidna in DMC4., only Demon Chicks I remember Aside from Trish and Lucia.

uh…what? I’m pretty sure we’re the only 2 in here saying 1 was the overall best out of the series.

EDIT: nvm read that wrong. But i’ve been fine with whatever opinions people have been throwing out in here. I just don’t see the reason for people to keep the redundancy going for 50ish more pages with the same people because 1 person is late to the party.

No i refereing to going over how 3 is better then 4 over and over. I know the pains of repeating ones selfe. It wears on the soul.

Nevan is hilarious lol

and aww i mean i was thinking more of like normal enemies instead of bosses and trish and lucia totally dont count

was trying to think of things that could possibly be good in the new hispter dmc only thought of hot demon chicks

That’s (suppose to be) common knowledge and I mentioned that a long time ago in here.

as for female demons, that’s cool and all but it’s not really a focus that should be implicated in DMC, but if that’s your thing then play more Bayonetta.

Speaking of Bay, IMO, this game is basically Godhand 1.5/ Nightshade 2 to me. It has everything that I hated about those games then it had the nerve to add more shit to my shit list!

Too many Capcom/DMC parodies and other games/ anime, way too easy to die even on normal, annoying, useless cut scenes that takes for ever even if you want to skip them, horrible loading---- for everything, pretty useless moves/ techniques (just like GH), cheesy music, over the top damage from lesser enemies (Bay Must Die Mode already?). I want to play a game that’s difficult but only when I know it should be difficult. Hearing, “the shadows remains calm!” like, 500 thousand times makes me want to headbutt a baby to death. I don’t play games to be overly annoyed for no real reason. This game was suppose to be fun. Instead, I’m getting Beasted on. Never really had this prob with DMC and never had as much difficulty with with GoW. I died the most in GoW because of glitches, like, falling THROUGH shit like hills then watch Kratos fall for 2 minutes then finally die.

But this is why I loved DMC1. I never had the multiple deaths UNTILL I got to DMD. getting owned by Nightmare, The Dark Knight/ Virgil, and that “Shadow Cat” in DMD is one thing but getting raped by EVERYTHING THAT ATTACKS YOU on normal in Bay, that’s just too much for my taste.

you just aren’t getting bay’s style yet. bay put a larger focus on dodging than DMC did, in dmc if your offense is good enough against normal enemies you will never need a defense, in bayo you wont really have a very solid offense if you don’t have some D. focus on learning how to get witch time through your dodges (when you get the chance bat within helps a lot with this as it allows for just-frame dodges to work, and then the malaakalaa or whatever accessory that lets you block/parry on just frame blocks) and work on learning how to dodge-offset. (basically mid-combo off a AAB combo you would do; tap A, hold A > dodge while still holding > release A > tap b) that way you can keep your weave attacks coming while not taking too much damage.

i was right there with you in the frustration with bay on my first couple play throughs of the game.

I’ll laugh so hard if Radiant shits on you for this post.

that all good and that but I only have problems with those fire and electric things. then sometimes the bosses get me but not as nearly as much as them.

my gripe is the random deaths. one level, if you fall then you die. next level, if you fall then you just lose some energy? WTF. Instant kill by dragon, fight a boss just push triangle and circle to get back on the ledge? Um, yeah… Run across small, translucent path of light. too bad you fell off the edge. go back to path, oh, the path goes when the main lit part shows… great.

I hope he does because unlike you guys I don’t need people to defend my opinion. it’s an opinion. noting more.

still this game is overrated and meant for those people who somehow liked Godhand. give me the real deal gameplay any day. DMC1>Bay

soon as I beat this game I’m tossing it in a used game bin.

If you’re having a lot of trouble with getting hit you can buy the accessory that causes you to go into witch time every time you get hit. The fire and electricity guys I blast with the shotguns until I get a chance to dodge an attack and activate witch time. Also, PKP is going to be one of your most useful combos since it’s one of the fastest ways to get out a wick weave attack without using magic.

learn the lt.killgore giltch if you’re just that bad.

I’m on level 13 so no thanks, but thankx anyway.

I’m no gonna shit on him for dieing in Bayonetta. I’m bigger then that. Bayontta’s hard, even on Normal and it just gets harder from there. It’s incredibly good but its also incredibly hard. It has to be or else it would be piss easy because Bayonetta’s move sets and accessory combos make her god tier broken. The woman can kill shit just as fast if not faster then most of anything can kill her. Her damage output is absolutely insane.

The other thing is that Bayonetta’s Aesthetics arn’t for everyone (Hmm…Deja Vu). Its extremely popy, loud, and in your face (much like God Hand another game thats incredibly hard because your character is incredibly broken, and a game Shatter Star doesn’t seem to like.) These games demand a lot of the player. They arn’t for for the weak willed or those with short patience.

For me the fact that the normal enemies in this game are just as dangwerious as the bosses just like in DMC1 has a lot to do with why I old it in such high regard.

I actually really like enemies that actively attack you. I remember playing DMC4 and while I was wailing on some enemy, his buddy watched and then proceeded to gallop right past me without a care in the world.

When I got that item that makes Angels pissed in Bayo, I realized that I need to step my game up a bit before fighting them with it active.

Aside from the crows most of the enemies in 4 are still more agressive then the ones in 3 lol.

And yea dude I LOVE the accessory that puts all the angels in Rage mode. That thing is incredibly awesome.

currently playing with 0 accessories. only two full hearts and two full moons. Meh.

I’m not too hip to the notion of “game that’s incredibly hard because your character is incredibly broken” or whatever you implied, but you got a point. I’m hard-headed and with average patients.

yea I hold DMC1 and Bayo high on my list of action games cause it isn’t a cakewalk. I’ve died way too many times on the shadow cats in DMC1 hard in the early beginning. If anything, DMC1 made me a lot better in overall execution.

Bayo just doesn’t play the next gen spoon fed style of gaming. You get your basics, then you run with it on your own. Have fun in hard where those upgraded Grace and Glory who can’t be witch timed outside of parrys start appearing in just about every part of the game. Infinite climax? lolhavefun.

Hes not gonna play hard. He said so already.

And yea I get not liking a game that uses the balance I talked about. I dig it though. It’s sink or swim. TO compare it to a fghter it’s like SFII. The damage Values for everything are so high that you gotta be on your game to win BUT it’s not some stupid endurance test where you do piddly damage and everything else hits like a mack truck. It’s more that you both packin mack trucks so your choices matter in how you wish to tackle the fight. It makes for a far more tense experience in my opinion. It’s why I don’t like DMC3 very much anymore. It’s a fantastic game, one of the best action games for sure and I would never take that away from it but I do think other games do it better. Put DMC3 on DMD mode and yea you can combo something endlessly but they take forever to kill and most everything in the game isn’t super agressive either making fights drag on forever and one mistake means your eating close to one of your bars, sometimes 3/4ths of your over all health while your damage output is piddly comparatively. It just makes for a really long grind and it puts me to sleep anymore. In Bayonetta or DMC1 or NGB you will eat incredible amounts of damage for fucking up but at the same time you can dish out the exact same kind of hurt and the enemies actually seem like they desire nothing more then your demise. It’s incredibly intense to survive fighting 3 or 4 Grace and Glories trying to turn you into chum and come out not only unscathed but having put down just as hard a beat down. I love it.

YOu know what I really miss. DMC1s Critical Finishes. Them shits was sexy. Nothin like one shot Stinger Killin a Shadow to show em whats up.

Also it’s to bad your not trying out the Accessories. It’s a lot of fun SFIII Parrying someones shit and then V-Ism Comboing them into a world of hurt. Makes me grin. Bayonetta’s so broken. I want her in Marvel 3 soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad.
