Devil May Cry!

Probably old, but still, lol.

They didn’t forget. Its the idiot, braindead new players that bitch and moan and are the majority that made the companies go down this route. I keep repeating this but nobody wants to put in work to get better. You constantly hear new people saying its “Oh so hard” to get into fighting games or this game is just too hard to play but they don’t realize you gotta put in work to get better at ANYTHING and that includes video games.

But they have lives to live, girlfriends, jobs, etc.

I wonder if NT will put in the DMC3 Easter Egg where if you press start on controller 2, it can control the doppleganger (or Vergil in the case of Arkham)

Hi y’all. Did you miss me?

Maybe it’s a good thing that this is catering to casual/shitty gamers?

1: They buy DmC brand new, Day One.
2: They beat it in like a day or 2.
3: They return it to store shelves and buy Black Ops 2 for the 3rd time
D: DmC is flooding your local Gamestop, so they slash prices in order to clear space.
Eleventy: You buy it for $20 used, get drunk with friends, and spend the day laughing as you effortlessly S-Rank the whole game.
Profit!: I make a million zillion dollars from everyone buying used. Capitalism! It’s what’s for dinner.

Funny that DMC1 was the reason I wanted a PS2 and ever since the 360, Wii, and PS3 have brought this new casual audience gaming overall is just so stale.

wrong. mvc2 is just as scrubby to do flashy shit. how is launch, lk, mk, hk (lk and mk are even the same fucking button) that much harder then launch, l, m, m, h. lol. THC’S yeah theyre in mvc2 and just as easy. you hit 2 buttons. character specific launchers vary from usually down and a hard attack to just a hard attack, with a few other variations in between, but the majority being fairly brain dead to do. he shouldnt have even bother making that comparison as he clearly doesnt know what hes talking about.

so what, maybe it was just bad timing and or they didnt see anything new enough that they cared about so they didnt bother with the game. in hindsight the game wasnt better then dmc3se anyways when it came to combat, level design, enemy design, boss design, etc… and the story was blah, with the only interest being who the fuck is nero. how about looking back on 2007’s dmc4 and being like you know maybe the game wasnt all that interesting and we couldve did a better job gaining the attention of new players, so lets make the ultimate dmc game, not lets send it to a shitty third party dev whos hand youre going to have to hold later on anyways.

i love how NONE OF THESE EDITORS AND REVIEWERS EVER MENTION BAYONETTA. Lol. bayonetta did almost every single thing right for the new and old players. even had the most simplest of simple modes for a one handed person to even enjoy if they wanted to. great art, great dialogue, great music, great bosses, great enemies, great characters, gorgeous level design, tons of fan service from light sabers to theology.

blah whatever. thank god for nintendo giving us bayonetta 2. if it never gets another one. i will die happy knowing i got at least 2. if it wasnt for the whole wiiU transition thing for players to play bayonetta 2. i think with all this DmC flack, and metal gear rising hype, bayonetta 2 on xbox and ps3 wouldve probably tripled bayonetta sales. who knows maybe it will still come out for xbox and ps3, but i want wonderful 101 too so imma cop a wiiU.

You know… As this happened, and as I read this…
All I wanted to say, in my best CvS2 Geese voice… “PREDICTABURR”

But you don’t have to put in 100 or so hours or something to enjoy a fighting game or an action game like DMC or DMC3. Its just that the ceiling should be high for these type of games, so if you truly want to master the game and its mechanics, you can. Replay value.

In DmC, the ceiling seems very low compared to its competitors, and most people probably won’t play it again after the first playthrough.

Looking back…needs more fuck you.

DMC4 was Capcom’s own doing. The game’s development was shorten, that’s why Dante’s weapons have different names than the bosses he defeats.

I would love a DMC4 add-on or “director’s cut” where they finish it and add what’s missing to Gilgamesh.

That’d be nice. I wish Dante had more weapons and moves in that game. I always wanted to see DMC3:SE where you could change styles like you can in DMC4. Oh well.

Man, all there years and I’ve never seen that video. All I remember about the old DMC4 was this pic.

My post was made with sarcasm :coffee:

so was this game rimshot

Excuse me?

But i believe they didn’t release a SE or DLC was something to do with the director not wanting that. Or something along those lines.

Ironically, the one time some people WANT a rerelease, Capcom won’t hear it :looney:

Sorry for not being able to detect sarcasm through text over the internet.

its because liking anything that had an iota of Japanese inspiration makes you a weeaboo
you didn’t know that

If you had a watch that says “Made in Japan”, you’re a weeaboo.

that would be nice, but it would be WAY better than DmC, its like when Nintendo put out twilight princess for the Wii and GameCube.
the gcn version was way better, why even by the Wii version, ya know.
