Just how much of the game is already on the internet? I feel I’ve seen most of this game has to offer

Funny you bring up SE. Eurogamer did a story about a certain journalist who always praised SE games. Said journalist said it was libel but further digging around the journalist used to do freelance work for SE. Then journalist removes all mention from SE in her profiles and twitter account. A lot of other stuff also happened but people can dig around to learn specifics about it.

I’m familiar with the story. It’s a shame that guy had his article removed for calling out journalists who are in the pockets of the game companies and PR firms. The “Journalists” who hashtagged a game to try to win a free PS3 should be a shamed of themselves.
Apparently the ending is just Dante defeating Vergil and closing the Hellgate, no Shyamalans. Maybe that’s the most epic twist possible, to have the plot we’ve already had (twice?).
Perhaps the true ending of DmC is not buying the game.
Y’mean two, right? Even then DMC1 doesn’t hold up as well as you think.
Regardless, I always have to pitch my two cents into a thread like this about how many fanboys got their pants in knots over the new direction Ninja Theory and Capcom took with Devil May Cry. To be fair, there WAS a lot of whining. Largely over the fact that he just didn’t have a red coat or white hair. Then he got it in DT mode and I was like ‘Well that’s cool. There fanboys, y’got your damn color scheme you were so fond of!’. But nope! So many other people were still bitching that he didn’t look or sound like Dante.
As was already quoted, Bayonetta is the best DMC title to date. Though I turn my back on Ninja Gaiden 3 for generally being complete garbage.
And y’know what else? You don’t HAVE to listen to what game magazines or reviewers say. It’s all a matter of opinion. I know a few people that absolutely adored average games like Binary Domain, Dynasty Warriors Gundam, and Pokemon Ranger. I could be considered odd for my love of obscure/strange titles like Bangai-O Missle Fury, 999: 9 Hours, 9 People, 9 Doors, and 3D Dot Game Heroes. Everyone has their own tastes. So, when you get the game, via renting or purchasing, and play it for yourself, you can make your own opinions on whether you like or dislike the game.
Not saying such practices should continue, by any means. But everyone has a mind of their own that can be made up, regardless of what info or game play they’re allowed to see. Regardless of how much advertising or what footage is shown, if the game is bad, then there’s absolutely no changing that. But i it’s good, then you just have another title to enjoy and cherish in your library.

it seems you have gotten your perception on what the anti DmC , from gaming media and it is quite incorrect.
All 4 mainline representations of Dante are actually reasonably different from each other. If anything, white hair/red coat was the most prominent thing tying them together.

It’s an alright game, I’m not hating at all… but there are too many dubious game design choices for me to pay 60 bucks for it…
Would you? You should look at the release schedule for January and February… there are much stronger competitors for your money…
It’s sad, really. This is probably Ninja Theory’s strongest game to date gameplay wise and it is mired in such shit.
It’s a decent game at its core. Piss easy to look cool in, but has a decent gimmick to the action and isn’t terrible.
However, all of that means jack shit when you attach the name Devil May Cry to it. I won’t get into what that is supposed to mean–its been done to death and you have four games that the majority of you trolls probably haven’t even beaten first three missions of to dissect why this is a slap in the face to the people who have and taken it further.
Devil May Cry was never “too difficult” to complete in the first place. It was only difficult to master, and that was where the true beauty of the gameplay lied.
All they had to do was not call it Devil May Cry… but then, none of this would have happened without that, would it?
I’ve been avoiding this game completely… haven’t been interested in any kinda news, gameplay, DLC, etc… Donte’s design and personality just didn’t appeal to me and I said screw it. Unfair? Yea, but whatever…
However, I’ve seen multiple pics of Vergil’s redesign…and I hate to admit it but I kinda like new Vergil (Design wise…don’t know about his personality)… was wondering if someone could fill me in on Vergil and if they’ve done any justice to my favorite motivated lil guy… apparently he’s “nicer” or something to that extent…it isn’t bad, is it? ;_;

Vergil’s a bitch-ass schemer that uses guns in this game. He’s not “lol get on my level Dante” anymore, now he’s “I wish I was cool as you, Dante” (mind you this is new Dante)
