This ad hom, logic devoid garbage is sad. If you’re hell bent on continuing this anti change fueled, biased, nonsensical circle jerk, then by all means stroke away. But I will definitely call it for the bullshit that it is.
Man, if Inafune really got the least-liked western action game studio to reboot DMC, and bounced as soon as it became official, all while knowing that Capcom’s policy is to double down against criticism and never admit mistakes… that might be one of the greatest trolls ever accomplished.
How about we wait until the game is out before we pass final judgements? At this point, given what we’ve had to work with, everything that could be said has been said, and that’s on both sides of the argument. Anything else is bordering redundancy. After we’ve had a chance to play the full game, only then will we be able to decide it’s place among the current DMC titles.
It can’t be a “true DMC experience” if it is too mediocre, generic and watered down with modern conventions that are nothing but regression in the DMC series. DmC may be a notch above the rest when compared to your run of the mill shit, but when compared to the action games that are actually REALLY well designed, its painfully average.
Saying name of a logical fallacy doesn’t mean I’m wrong or dismisses my point. That in itself is a logical fallacy.
DMC experience is your catchphrase, not mine. My experience involves tight, responsive, precise controls. DmC is (not only to me) none of those 3 lol.

This guy’s first impression includes him thinking something was wrong with controller.
Brea buying the game is probably in hopes of Capcom not shelving the DMC brand and getting DMC5 or she just really enjoys action games, wherever you found her saying she’s buying it. I don’t care if Capcom does shelf it or not, I don’t <3 all the action games either.
There’s nothing to discuss with you if you’re writing off complaints of no lock-on in a game with weapon specific enemies as whining and claiming it to be a non-issue. We play these games in 2 vastly different ways in that case so out perceptions are different.
You also got that line about getting through the games with basic playing from me when I was praising how DMC and Bayo allow a large spectrum of people to enjoy it by not requiring go to deep into the system to finish and enjoy but still being deep enough for people to explore the combat system and finding advance stuff to do and play with.
That’s just it, you may have your opinion, but you don’t GET to pass it off like it’s just true. You can use your buzzwords as much as you want (mediocre, average, dumbed down etc.) but that doesn’t make it the case. I’ve already shown how the game isn’t watered and has plenty of depth. So the shit people bitch about basically come down to preference. If you’re going off of shit that’s purely preference and no part actual design flaws, then all you’re really entitled to (assuming you niggas have any intellectual honesty) is saying “This isn’t the game I want” and not “This is a bad game”
Also, last long ass sentence: totally describes DmC. Good work.
“The game isn’t even out yet” works both ways. You can’t use that line to defend DmC and then forget you haven’t played the full game yet when praising it, hypocrite.
Lol at weapon specific enemies + no lock on not being a design flaw
Lol at laggy controls not being a design flaw
Because the clown wants keep replying as if I haven’t played the same demo he has in depth and coming to the conclusion that I do have, here’s a few things I have found/know the average people don’t.
There’s a glitch to charge your guns
Charge a little bit, dodge, slash (triangle or O) and you’ll charge your guns without needing to hold shoot anymore.
Gliding into a wall and turn your stick the opposite way + jump will let Dino kick off the wall and glide in that direction. Doing this in the corner will get Dino ping ponging for a while.
Canceling glide into jump doesn’t keep momentum, no flying rainstorm :[
Canceling glide into rainstorm doesn’t work either.
No stinger jump either
Clicking L3 will change who you autoaim but it appears to only affect the handguns in practice. There’s zero indication, not even Dante’s head turns to look at who he is aiming.
There’s too many fucking moves that have to complete the animation before you can jump, shot or dodge. Do a raw high time and press anything after.
There’s also the delay attacks switch weapon to get that weapons delay ender which is really good so you don’t have to use shitty first two attacks of the axe. I spoke about this the first day of the demo. This is new and the only interesting thing in a combat system that has taken a massive leap backwards.
You don’t take damage from the giant flame puddle of the red guy if you’re holding the Devil Arm button.
Still no idea what the second part of Angel Dodge is suppose to do but I’m guessing it’s just to put you back to where dodged from if not holding a direction.
Shades of Enslaved: I came up short on the jump you need to glide across and triggered the cutscene anyway. HOW CAN I LOSE?
It is a lesser DMC game, few would argue it isn’t a lesser DMC3 or 4. I just feel a lot more is gone/missing (that you don’t care/know was in the previous games) than you to the point it’s boring.
If you’re close enough to the and do the angel dodge teleport, you appear on the ground instantly and are able to act right away. It’s just something fast to do and makes the gameplay entertaining sometimes, and since it also moves you down about 2 feet there is probably something to do there.
Doing f, f +Tri with Demon weapon has a different launch property if the enemy hit is in the air.
I don’t really remember what happened, but I hit someone with the scythe, landed before the next move came out, and the opponent still got hit. I have no idea what happened, or how I did it, but if that’s something that could be practically replicated it would be pretty cool.
If you have the right spacing and try to angel grab someone who is behind, say one of the hittable objects at the start that give you red orbs, you’ll start flying to them and sometimes freeze in place. Completely invincible. I’ve not been able to do it again since the day I first tried it, but I’ve done it before.
I mapped gun special to L1 because, you know, I don’t need two fucking dodges. It’s entertaining to spam that and the normal gun shot. Sometimes the rainstorm effects follow you for a while, and at one point I had Dante shooting the ground while being able to walk slightly.
Also, if you do an angel dodge and try to do a non angel weapon attack too early, the game doesn’t care and you get an angel attack anyway.
…and you don’t need to touch anything to jump cancel.
End of the day, both pro and con sides have made valid points. The potential is there for the game to be really good based off the demo provided that in the full game, the difficulty levels are better. I do think once the game comes out and people really put the time into it(IF they do buy the game at launch), you might see a full breakdown of the gameplay.
what valid point has bro dmc made
btw
because any one of the points can be countered by, ninja theory and capcom has showed they don’t value you as a customer, and if you differ in opinion they will show how much they don’t value you.
there are videos of their shenanigans, im not buying a game from a developer who treats people with criticisms like ass
You don’t get to say pro side has made valid points until they have made valid points. This isn’t a draw. There isn’t even a discussion. There is only disillusion and delusion going on in this thread.
You have some nerve. You haven’t added ONE useful thing to this thread. If you had been pro DmC and said the retarded shit that you have, you’d be mocked out of here. Just because you cretins put your collective hands in your ears and go “lalalalalala” and don’t listen to the legit points made, doesn’t mean they WEREN’T made.
You’re right, this isn’t a discussion. This is an expose as to why the gaming population doesn’t have (and doesn’t deserve) the respect of developers. They just argue arbitrary nonsense to avoid the fact that this game with clearly a good DMC game. What’s sad is, clearly a lot of you know better, but choose to lie anyway. For what reason, exactly, I’m not sure, but most likely the realization that accepting this as a legit title in the series (and thusly spreading positive WoM about it instead of this vitriol) will result in the old Dante/world/style going away. And even if this is a worthy replacement, they cannot handle that.
