Devil May Cry!

RE6 got some pretty sad reviews though. So we’ll see.

RE6 didn’t seem to have that overhype though. The PR for it just seemed off for it all year other than when they announced it.

RE6 is nowhere near as bad as the bad reviews of the game made it out to be.

but it’s about as close to Survival Horror as a Madden football game.

Yeah it’s even worse:coffee:

Only had fun with Leon’s campaign.

Considering there aren’t any games that are really scary at this point in time, who cares?

Though RE6 is not much better than mediocre.

Resident Evil hasn’t been Survival Horror since 5. Let it go

it’s about whether you can survive the horribleness of that game amirite

ugh, sorry, bruv. The director should’ve let that go, so [insert Red Foreman comment here].

anyway, it’s time to laugh, cry, and maybe even rage. I had fun doing this and it’s only part one. Enjoy!!!

Spoiler

FUCK YOU! Nah, Merry Christmas, seriously.

That’s true, but they didn’t really need to overhype it since it sold on name alone (discussed earlier in the thread I think), despite the game’s glaring shortcomings.

Yeah, the initial burst of sales were expected. But you don’t get the continued sales if you’re continually bashed by pretty much everyone.

True, although the damage was already done with initial sales, was it not? Didn’t RE6 sell better than any of the previous games?

WHAT?! Shatta sounds nothing like ME?! I my world is now crumbling down around me!!!

MainEvent: If I die, who will take my place?
shatterstar: Your [S]white prince[/S] dark knight is here!

I’m sorry, I needed to do that.

EDIT: Also, in NT’s defense, it isn’t their fault entirely as to why Donte is who he is.
When NT first showed the original dialog for Donte, Capcom stated that the original idea NT had was too much was the original Dante and wanted him to act more “out rages”. What you have in All-Stars is the original Donte NT really wanted. The new Donte we all hate is the one Capcom wanted.

Gameplay engine and designs are being done by Jap Capcom (the original DMC team), however NT is the director of this game, as they decide what needs changes and what needs to do without. So the game lacks lock-on, that’s NT. If the game is buggy as fuck, that’s Capcom.

Just saying, it isn’t all of NT’s fault.

WHAT?! Shatta sounds nothing like ME?! I my world is now crumbling down around me!!!

“Out rages”?

GO HOME, POZER. YOU’RE DRUNK.

yeah, aint that a bitch?!

damn, bruv…

I get into that in the next vid, I think. this maybe a three part thing.

Classic Dante being in Project x Zone along with Niitsuma having to get a ton of approvals for everything involving the DMC characters in MvC 3 / UMvC 3 right from Kobayashi is a big indicator that not only will the real Dante be around they are extremely protective of the character.

There’s two Mega Man universes. Any time a Street Fighter character appears in a crossover yet another universe gets created.

Can’t think of too many instances where Capcom chucks one universe for another. Maybe Bionic Commando, but it was more like they tweaked / adjusted / fucked up the old universe but they didn’t flush it away.

Also, Reuben Langdon voices Ken in SF and does mocap for Chris Redfield. He’s still working for Capcom and would play Dante again at the drop of a hat.

In short, even if DmC sells five million copies (which it won’t lol) you can pretty much bet that OG Dante will be back, in a non crossover at some point. We just have to wait for the right project to come along. He’s waaay too popular for Capcom to write off.

Unlike, oh I dunno, fat Ieyasu in Sengoku Basara 1-2. Or White Birdie in SF1. You’ll never see those guys again!

pandering
people use that word and don’t know how to use it

he talks about stuff that’s current and he is interested in, he is interested in video games so whats popular and what he is interested may cross, its not really pandering when its something your generally interested in. he actually quite funny as well,

Who’s solely blaming NT? I’m more mad at Capcom!

THEY picked NT
THEY have the final say at the end of the day
THEY let this game turn into the sequel of DMC2

NT probably never touched the DMC games and just whines that no one likes their games, blaming consumers and writing fanfics to Teen Wolf and Twilight instead of practicing their craft.
