Doesn’t matter. It still looks like shit. And no one will confirm if it’s a reboot or a prequel. All I know is him being half angel is even more dumb ass cliche then him being half Devil/Human was.
It was always a reboot, from day one. It has a new logo, a completely new character design with a new background story, etc.
I really don’t see how one is any more ridiculous than the other.
Cuz now it’s that massive cliche of Evil falling in love with Good. It’s more saccharine then it was before. Now it’s Romeo and Juliet, forbidden love, sleeping with thine enemy, yada yada.

saying you’re half angel and half devil is basically an over-glorified version of a human. It’s not even super human, just “over-glorified human”. every human has “good and bad” qualities (see the game Cathrine’s “karma gauge”). I don’t need a half breed demon-angel to define good and evil. That’s counter productive. It expands on nothing. the new multi-racial Spider-man is more “ground-breaking” than making a demon rape an angel and make a game about the dumpster baby. That’s dumb as fuck and everyone knows it.
They were better off not even calling this game “DmC”, made the game about a European rocker with a drug/alcohol problem which is at war with himself over “the good and evil in soul”, through some Vanilla Sky elements in there, then maybe, just maybe, you’ll have a decent game.
Instead, we have this crap. As you were.
By the way since when are Scythes considered holy weapons anyway?
Trailer looked better than expected, but at the same time, I remember how great the DMC2 trailer looked…

I see Crossbows and swords as more holy than Scythes.
I thought the exact same thing. I liked the action I saw in the trailer, but I kept being reminded of DMC2. 
I really think it’s the environments shown in the trailer…they look really plain/bland/ordinary.
Needless to say, I’m no longer in hate mode in regards to this new DmC.

People would have ate this shit up if they didn’t introduce 2 Million+ people(that’s number of units shipped of DMC4) to the original Dante and 60 FPS combat… if they had let the Devil May Cry series fade away after 3 and didn’t come out with a new game like three years ago, this had the potential to be successful…
I am certain that this will flop… and yall can quote me on this if what I said doesn’t fall through…
With the whole Angel/Devil thing there had better not be a stupid Karma system in this game, cause then it’s done.
