Devil May Cry 5

Driver cleaner didn’t do me any good. Game still crashes immediately on start up. I’m running a rx570 (which the game came with) and an i7-5820k.

Went to the steam discussions forum to see if anyone there has had any progress and apparently since the patch that just came out more people are having problems. People that were running the game just fine before can’t get it to boot now either. This is some fucking shit. Lol

Damn man, sorry to hear that. They need to fix that like yesterday.

I feel like Royal Guard could do with being nerfed just a teeny tiny little bit.

Yeah, until you play DMD

The ending to this game brought a smile to my face. Glad to see they hashed out their differences.

Lookin forward to DMC6 with all of them playable and seeing the shenanigans they get into together

King Cerberus is so much fun. It eats Cavalier Angelo for breakfast. Being able to Revolver in the air is cheap as fuck lol.

Some thoughts about the setup for 6.

Setup Given that Dante and Vergil are in the underworld at the end of the game and must make way to the Qliphoth roots, it could easily be a setup for a more loose interpretation of "The Divine Comedy". Dante and Vergil making their way further into hell. Also a good way to incorporate the cameo system.

I found that to be my next most useful weapon to Balrog.

Speaking of loadout, does anyone use Rebellion or Sparda after DSD?

I use Sparda. It does more damage and has the old move set. Old reliable you know?

Thats a fuckin brilliant idea Optimus. They should def run with that. Although that Dantes Inferno game kinda already did it (so so combat, but some inventive environments and disturbing enemies)

Fair enough. I kinda like the projected swords that DSD offers. I also can do Aerial Rave without going Swordmaster.

I will say that I definitely feel that style switching is more intentional with gameplay in this game than with 4. Swordmaster is my bread and butter but RG is becoming more fun to use.

Oh I still use the DSD a lot to, its a ton of fun and yea you get some sword master tech as a normal moveset, am very nice. The Summon Swords are also awesome.

Sparda has It’s uses tho is all in sayin.

Royal Guard used to be my shit in DMC3. Got so good at parrying, I beat Vergil with no damage on the DMD mode. I let my cousin borrow my copy of 5 tho, so itll be a bit before I can play again

A few missions in on DMD and I’m really appreciating the lack of BS enemies like enigmas. Enemies don’t seem as tank-y as they did in 3’s DMD either. So far, it’s looking like it won’t turn into a slog, though missions do take long enough that I probably won’t do more than a couple a day.

My God, Enigmas were the worst.

Other than camera angles on occasion, death feels like it’s my fault while going through DMD. The one area where the camera screwed me was in Mission 12 after you fight the Fury.

Juddicas can be a bit Enigma Annoying sometimes but still not as bad with that constant scooting away.

While we are pissing on the corpse of bad enemy designs let’s all take a moment to fondly hate Abyss, the ghosts from 3 that obly materialize when your backs turned like some Big Boo nonsense. And they do grab you they drain your DT on top of damage. Asshole enemies.
